Millie Bobby Brown & 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' Cast Debut Trailer at Comic-Con - WATCH NOW!

The first trailer for the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters has officially been released!

The cast – including Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Michael Dougherty, Thomas Middleditch, and O’Shea Jackson Jr – debuted the trailer while promoting the movie at the 2018 Comic-Con on Saturday afternoon (July 21) at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego, Calif.

The movie is a sequel to the 2014 film Godzilla – and also stars Kyle Chandler, Sally Hawkins, Bradley Whitford, Charles Dance, Aisha Hinds, and Zhang Ziyi.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters on May 31, 2019.

'Godzilla' Sequel Begins Production, Cast & Synopsis Revealed!

The upcoming sequel to 2014′s smash hit movie Godzilla has officially begun principal photography and Warner Bros. just confirmed the full cast and synopsis for the film.

Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins are the only cast members from the first film who are returning for the sequel.

The new additions to the cast include Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown in her feature film debut, Thomas Middleditch, Bradley Whitford, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, and Zhang Ziyi.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Michael Dougherty, who previously directed the Christmas-themed horror comedy Krampus, is directing the sequel.

Zhang Ziyi Joins 'Godzilla' Sequel!

Zhang Ziyi is set to join the cast of the upcoming film Godzilla: King of Monsters!

The sequel to 2014′s Godzilla is set for release on March 22, 2019. The movie will be followed up by the upcoming crossover flick Godzilla vs. Kong on May 22, 2020.

King of Monsters will also star Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, and Vera Farmiga. It’s set to take place several years after the previous film and Ziyi will play “a key figure in the covert, creature-cataloging Monarch organization,” according to THR.

Kyle Chandler Joins 'Godzilla' Sequel as Millie Bobby Brown's Dad

Kyle Chandler has officially joined the cast of the upcoming movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, a sequel to the Warner Bros. reboot released in 2014.

The 51-year-old former Friday Night Lights actor will play the role of Millie Bobby Brown‘s father. His character is said to be a scientist, according to THR.

The upcoming Godzilla sequel is set to hit theaters on March 22, 2019.

Michael Dougherty will direct the film and he co-wrote the script with Zach Shields.
