Something we now expect for every live musical production is Anna Kendrick‘s live tweets and she sure did not disappoint with Grease: Live!

The 30-year-old actress is no stranger to the musical theater world. She was on Broadway by the time she was 12 and earned a Tony Award nomination for her performance in High Society, making her the third youngest Tony nominee.

Anna also starred in musical movies such as Into the Woods, The Last Five Years, and of course the Pitch Perfect franchise.

Vanessa Hudgens‘ boyfriend Austin Butler had some super sweet praise for his girlfriend after her performance in Grease: Live.

The 27-year-old actress portrayed the role of Rizzo, and under some very tough circumstances as her father tragically passed away over the weekend.

“#GreaseLive is MIND-BLOWING! Constant chills @VanessaHudgens” Austin wrote during the broadcast.

“WOW @VanessaHudgens singing ‘Worst Things’ had me in tears. Just brilliant #GreaseLive,” Austin added later. Catch Vanessa‘s amazing rendition of the song here if you missed it.

Grease: Live has just started to air live on Fox and the soundtrack for the production has officially been released.

The soundtrack is a studio recording of the classic songs from the musical starring the 2016 cast: Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, and more!

Jessie J kicks off the soundtrack with her version of the classic “Grease is the Word” and Joe Jonas makes an appearance with his band DNCE for a new version of their hit song “Cake By the Ocean,” among other tracks.

Vanessa Hudgens just gave an unbelievable performance as tough girl Rizzo in Fox’s Grease: Live musical, just one day after her father Greg passed away from cancer.

The 27-year-old actress announced the tragic news earlier in the day, and added that she would perform the show for her dad.

The production was also dedicated to Greg - read the special message that popped up on the screen after the show if you missed it.

Along with tweeting praise for the show’s other stars, many celebs wrote an extra message of love for Vanessa.

First, Aaron Tveit couldn’t stop thrusting and then, he put on a pair of short shorts and the Grease: Live audiences at home could not stop talking about his outfit on Twitter!

In one scene during the musical, the 32-year-old actor was in character as Danny Zuko in Rydell High School’s gymnasium, and he was wearing a tank and a pair of super short shorts. He also rocked the shorts again later, during a scene for track practice.

The entire performance of Grease: Live was dedicated to Vanessa Hudgens‘ father Greg Hudgens after his death on Saturday (January 30).

The 27-year-old actress and singer announced the tragic news on her Twitter account, and dedicated her performance to him.

At the end of the live broadcast, a message memorializing Greg popped up on the screen, and read, “In loving memory of Greg Hudgens.”

If you missed it, watch Vanessa‘s amazing performance of “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” which came towards the end of the broadcast.

Vanessa Hudgens just belted out the classic song from Grease: Live “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” and it was simply amazing.

The 27-year-old actress sadly lost her father to cancer this weekend, and her strength and emotion really shined through during this rendition of the song. Vanessa just announced today that her father had passed, but she would still perform in the show.
