Penn Badgley attends the “Meet the Filmmakers” event for his new movie Greetings From Tim Buckley at the Apple Store SoHo on Thursday (April 25) in New York City.

The 26-year-old actor was joined for the discussion, held during the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, by the flick’s director Daniel Algrant.

Greetings From Tim Buckley is a chronicle of the days leading up to the singer’s performance at his father’s tribute concert in 1991. You can rent the movie now on demand!

Penn Badgley and Imogen Poots hit the red carpet while attending the premiere for their film Greetings From Tim Buckley during the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday (April 23) in New York City.

Earlier in the day, the 26-year-old actor and the 23-year-old English actress had some fun while attending a portrait session for the flick with their director Daniel Algrant.

“At that time I was falling madly in love in a way that was changing me and opening me up. And it was an integral part of playing Jeff. Technically, I could probably play guitar and sing better now because I have a year of consistent experience under my belt, but, at the time, I was kind of going through what Jeff was going through emotionally in the movie in the sense that the worlds of music and love and women and art were opening up to me,” Penn recently shared about the movie.

FYI: Imogen is wearing a Christopher Kane dress.

Penn Badgley stars in the just released trailer and poster for his new film Greetings From Tim Buckley.

Here is the film’s synopsis: In 1991, a young Jeff Buckley (Badgley) rehearses for his public singing debut at a Brooklyn tribute show for his father, the late folk singer Tim Buckley. Struggling with the legacy of a man he barely knew, Jeff finds solace in a relationship with an enigmatic young woman (Imogen Poots) working at the show. As they explore New York City, their adventures recall glimpses of Tim’s (Ben Rosenfield) 1960s heyday.

Greetings From Tim Buckley will be available to watch on demand on April 16 and will be in select movie theaters this month!
