Greta Gerwig Reveals The 'Lady Bird' Snack Combo Named After Her on 'Late Late Show'!

Oscar nominees Greta Gerwig and Gary Oldman both sat on the couch with James Corden during last night’s (February 22) episode of The Late Late Show!

After host James asks Greta about the Lady Bird walking tour fans are taking around Sacramento, he asks her about “The Greta” — a term created for her favorite snack/drink combo she requests several times a day on set.

“It meant a bag of Cheetos and a Diet Coke. I didn’t know there was a code word for it but I heard them say it and was like ‘what? why does this need a name?’,” Greta recalled. “My first a.d said to me you ask for it five or six times a day.’ I’m completely made out of Cheetos.”

James also asks Greta and Gary about receiving bad reviews and James learns Greta‘s first negative review came very early, and Gary becomes critical of his own performance in a previous Late Late Show sketch.

Greta Gerwig Says 'It's Time' for More Female Directors To Be Recognized!

Greta Gerwig is all smiles while hitting the red carpet at TheWrap’s 2018 Women, Whiskey and Wisdom Celebrating Women Oscar Nominees held at Teddy’s at The Hollywood Rooselvelt Hotel on Wednesday (February 21) in Hollywood.

The 34-year-old Lady Bird writer-director was joined at the event by Keesha Sharp, Jane Seymour, Get Out‘s Betty Gabriel, Caitlin Carver and Helena Mattsson.

Greta recently opened up about what it feels like to be the fifth woman ever to be Oscar-nominated for Best Director.

“Oh, it’s unbelievable. I’m so humbled, I’m so grateful,” Greta told Buzzfeed. “I loved making this movie – like I said before, I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker for a very long time, so the fact that it’s been embraced like this has meant the world to me.”

“I think what’s amazing about this year and this moment is how the numbers of female filmmakers are shifting and are going to shift,” Greta added. “It’s been such a huge year, between Patty Jenkins, who directed Wonder Woman, Sofia Coppola with The Beguiled, Dee Rees with Mudbound, and coming up in a few weeks, Ava DuVernay with A Wrinkle in Time. It’s really changing before our eyes, and it’s time. It’s past time. It’s past time for that to happen, but I’m so lucky to be part of that conversation.”
