Gulliver Oldman is coming to the defense of his father, Oscar winner Gary Oldman, in response to domestic abuse allegations made by the actor’s ex-wife.
The 20-year-old says that he is a supporter of the #MeToo movement and knows how it must look for him to come out with a statement to combat an allegation.
“However, I was there at the time of the ‘incident,’ so I’d like to make this radiantly clear: it didn’t happen. Anyone who says it did is lying,” he wrote.
Gulliver‘s mom Donya Fiorentino said in a resurfaced interview with the Daily Mail that her marriage to Oldman was a “nightmare.” She accused him of choking her and beating her with a phone in front of their sons in 2001.
At the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday night, Gary walked the red carpet with wife Gisele Schmidt and his sons Gulliver (left) and Charlie.
