Angela Bassett joins Cynthia Erivo on the red carpet for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Homecoming Concert & Gala held at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday (October 9) in Los Angeles.

The two stars were joined by Skylar Astin, Lake Bell, Herbie Hancock, Helen Hunt, Michelle Rodriguez, Retta, and Maria Valverde for the event.

Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel kicked off the 2021-2022 season with the concert, and the concert also marked the first time the orchestra performed in 579 days.

The program featured a performance from Cynthia and pianist Seong-Jin Cho, and the world premiere of an LA Phil-commissioned work for orchestra by Gabriela Ortiz called Kauyumari.

Proceeds from the LA Phil Gala will support music education programs, bringing the joy of music and music-making into the lives of 150,000 children and families each year.

Gustavo Dudamel is looking sharp.

The 38-year-old music director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar and the Los Angeles Philharmonic hit the red carpet at the 2019 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 24) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Gustavo will be taking the stage alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic to perform during the annual In Memoriam tribute.

The Oscars are being presented without a host for the first time in 30 years. The show kicks off at 8pm EST/5pm PST on ABC.

FYI: Gustavo is wearing an Armani tux.

LA Philharmonic conductor Gustavo Dudamel had some famous friends at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony!

The famed music director stepped out for the special event on Tuesday afternoon (January 22) in Hollywood.

He was joined by Chris Martin, Christoph Waltz and Helen Hunt, who took the stage to say a few words about the conductor.

“You have deep curiosity, boundless energy and soulful wisdom…I travel the world in my work and for pleasure, and I have a spring in my step and swagger because we have you. So Los Angeles and Hollywood thanks you,” Helen said on stage.

John Stamos is celebrating his birthday with some of his oldest and closest friends!

The actor spent his 54th birthday attending Cinespia’s outdoor screening of Some Like It Hot with former Full House co-stars Lori Loughlin and Davie Coulier on Saturday night (August 19) in Hollywood.

Other stars attending the event and hanging out at the photo booth included Aaron Paul and wife Lauren Pareskian along with Emily Ratajkowski.
