Congratulations are in order for Guy Pearce and Carice van Houten – they have welcomed their first child together!

The 48-year-old Memento actor and the 39-year-old Game of Thrones actress are the parents to a son named Monte, they announced on social media on Monday (August 29).

“A cute little package arrived and told us his name’s Monte Pearce. We think we’re gonna keep him. Placenta smoothie anyone? @caricevhouten,” Guy tweeted.

Carice quoted the tweet and added a bunch of emojis: “�’�🏼🎢😳😍�’�’�🍸🐣❤️.”

The 48-year-old Jack Irish actor and the 39-year-old Game of Thrones actress first confirmed the pregnancy back in March.

Guy recently took to Twitter to post a touching tribute to his late father while reflecting on his soon-to-be first child.

“Aug 6 1976 – Dad never made it home from that test flight,” Guy captioned a pic of his father and the airplane he once flew. “A profound effect, only amplified as I await my own child.”

The 48-year-old actor will soon become a father for the first time. His girlfriend Carice van Houten, known for her work on Game of Thrones, is pregnant with their first child!

After the couple announced their exciting news, Carice took to Twitter to joke about how her character gave birth to a shadow monster in season two.

“Ok. I’m ready for your shadowbaby jokes,” she wrote.

Carice van Houten and Guy Pearce are expecting their first child together, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

“Carice and Guy are thrilled to be expecting their first child,” the rep said in a statement.

The 39-year-old Game of Thrones actress and the 48-year-old Memento actor have been fueling romance rumors for the past couple months after they were spotted spending time together on several occasions.

Carice and Guy spent Valentine’s Day with each other in Hollywood last month.

Most recently, Carice was seen in the movie Race while Guy is currently starring in the Aussie television series Jack Irish.

Jude Law and Colin Firth are dapper in suits while hitting the red carpet at the premiere of their new film Genius held during the 2016 Berlin Film Festival at Berlinale Palace on Tuesday (February 16) in Berlin, Germany.

The 41-year-old actor and Colin, 55, were joined at the event by their co-stars Laura Linney and Guy Pearce, as well as director Michael Grandage.

That same day, Jude and Colin attended a press conference and photo call for Genius with Laura and Guy at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Guy Pearce and his wife of 18 years Kate Mestitz have split, he confirmed on his Twitter account.

“Rumours r true I’m afraid – Kate and I parted ways back in Jan. Sorry 2 be boring but we couldn’t be closer. We’ll love each other 4 ever xx” the 48-year-old Prometheus, Memento, and Iron Man 3 actor tweeted.

“Kate and I will always love and support one another and be the best of friends. No one knows me like Kate does, and we’ll forever be appreciative of our mutual respect. We’ve both grown enormously through our relationship, but sadly, the time has come to part ways,” he added to the Sydney Morning Herald.
