Lots of celebs traveled all the way to Saudi Arabia to attend the opening night gala for the 2022 Red Sea International Film Festival!

Priyanka Chopra, Henry Golding, and Lucy Hale were among the stars in attendance at the screening of What’s Love Got To Do With It? on Thursday night (December 1) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone is the president of the international jury for the film festival and he spoke out in support of Saudi Arabia during the opening gala.

“You see the changes that are coming here, the reforms. I think people who judge too harshly should come and visit this place and see for themselves,” Oliver said (via Deadline).

Will Smith has a fan in his Aladdin director Guy Ritchie.

If you forgot, the 54-year-old King Richard star played Genie in the live-action adaptation of the Disney classic back in 2019.

Will‘s been in a tough spot in Hollywood since slapping Chris Rock onstage during the 2022 Oscars. However, Guy made it very clear that he would work with him again, making fans wonder if the star would return for an Aladdin sequel that is in pre-production.

Theo James is staying booked and busy.

The 37-year-old The White Lotus star landed a role in a new Netflix series based on Guy Ritchie‘s movie The Gentlemen.

The series will share a name with the 2019 movie, which starred the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam and Colin Farrell.

The Hercules live-action movie is coming, and not everyone is so pleased about how it’s being described.

In a new interview, producer Joe Russo opened up about the live-action reimagining of the Disney classic, and what’s going to be different about the production.

Guy Ritchie is set to direct the production, which is being described as “experimental” and inspired by TikTok.

A live action version of Hercules is officially in the works!

Deadline is reporting that the 1997 movie from Walt Disney Pictures will be the latest outing in their live action adaptations, with Guy Ritchie attached to star.

According to the outlet, the movie will be produced by AGBO, which is run by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo. The studio is now in the process of hiring writers after Dave Callaham wrote a first draft.

If you’re unfamiliar, the movie centered on Hercules, a son of gods, as he tries to make his way back to Mount Olympus after being snatched as a baby by Hades.

The voice cast featured Tate Donovan, James Woods, Danny DeVito and Susan Egan.

Hercules will join Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, starring Rachel Zegler, as the latest outing in Disney’s animated to live-action movies.

MGM and Amazon have invested big in Jake Gyllenhaal‘s upcoming movie, The Interpreter.

According to Deadline, the upcoming movie, which is set to start filming in Spain later this month, will be released by MGM in the U.S. and Amazon internationally.

The Interpreter will center on Sergeant John Kinley (Gyllenhaal), on his last tour of duty, is teamed with Ahmed, a local interpreter, to survey the region. When their unit is ambushed on patrol, Kinley and Ahmed are the only survivors.

With enemy combatants in pursuit, Ahmed risks his own life to carry an injured Kinley across miles of grueling terrain to safety. Back on US soil, Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given passage to America as promised.

Determined to protect his friend and repay his debt, Kinley returns to the warzone to retrieve Ahmed and his family before the local militias reach them first.

The movie, which will be directed by Guy Ritchie, was inspired by real-life conversations with soldiers and the interpreters who risk their lives every day to help them.
