'Fantastic Beasts' Sequels - When Will They Be Released?

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is on its way to becoming a massive hit after ruling the box office this weekend and fans can look forward to four more movies in the franchise.

The second and third movies have had release dates scheduled for quite some time now and you can expect them to hit theaters on November 16, 2018 and November 20, 2020, respectively. We will have to wait and see when the fourth and fifth movies will come out!

J.K. Rowling, the author of the “Harry Potter” books and the screenwriter of the Fantastic Beasts series, has confirmed the timeline of the sequels.

The story begins in 1926 and she says that it will end in 1945.

The new movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is out in theaters now and some fans are probably wondering who plays some of the important roles in the film like Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein!

The cast features Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and Colin Farrell, but there are also plenty of actors that are still on the rise like Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller.

The movie is a spin-off of the Harry Potter franchise and the new film series will span across five installments written by author and new screenwriter J.K. Rowling.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is expected to top the weekend box office with a first frame north of $70 million.

'Harry Potter's Quidditch Just Became a Little More Professional

The world is about to take Harry Potter‘s famed wizarding sport Quidditch a little more seriously!

It was just announced that Quidditch is getting its own Premier League, joining the ranks of sports like the UK’s Premier League Soccer.

The League is following in the footsteps of the United State’s Major League Quidditch and matches are set to take place between July and August during the QuidditchUK off-season.

“Each fixture will comprise of three matches, where each team plays the other three teams in the division. The QPL season will conclude with a scintillating championship weekend, bringing the teams from each division together to crown a champion,” their website explains.

Each team will have custom logos and Quidditch uniforms made just for them! You can start to catch the teams in action next year.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them star Eddie Redmayne is as big of a Harry Potter fanatic as the rest of us and the house that he was sorted into is Hufflepuff, one that is often ridiculed among fans of the franchise!

The 34-year-old actor is defending the house in a funny new PSA that he created for MTV.

“For far too long now, Hufflepuffs have been victimized,” Eddie says in the clip while looking like he is going to cry. “They call us boring. They call us beige. They say we’re the nice guys. But you know what? You know what I see in Hufflepuffs? I see loyalty. I see fierce friendship. We are hardworking, we are compassionate, and at the end of the day, we’re going to do the right thing, and not because of the glory. Not because of the glory, but for the greater good.”

Dumbledore Confirmed to Appear in 'Fantastic Beasts' Films!

It’s official – Dumbledore will be making an appearance in upcoming Fantastic Beasts movies!

The film’s director David Yates confirmed that the beloved wizard will be portrayed by a new actor in the Harry Potter spinoff series.

“In the second movie Dumbledore comes back. He’s got a couple of good scenes with Newt…We’re discussing who would play Dumbledore. Any suggestions would be good,” he said during an interview with Screen Rant.

Casting is currently underway for the role in the Harry Potter prequels, which is now set to span five films.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to hit theaters on November 18th.

Johnny Depp Joins Eddie Redmayne in 'Fantastic Beasts' Sequel

Exciting news – Johnny Depp has joined the cast of the sequel for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

The 53-year-old Oscar-nominated actor will play a co-starring role in the Harry Potter universe alongside Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, according to Deadline.

While it is not yet known who Johnny will play in the film, he is rumored to be making a quick appearance in the first installment of the franchise, out in theaters on November 18.

The upcoming movie follows a secret community of witches and wizards in New York and is set 70 years before the events in Harry Potter.

J.K. Rowling's Final 'Magic in North America' Short Story Drops

The third and final installment in a collection of new original writing, Magic in North America, by J.K. Rowling has been released!

Titled The Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA), the short story explores the roots of America’s secret wizarding governing body and is available exclusively on pottermore.com.

The story “reveals how MACUSA was formed and tracks the odyssey of its various headquarters as it moved from an enchanted edifice in the Appalachian Mountains to Williamsburg, Virginia; Baltimore, Maryland; Washington, D.C.; and, finally, to New York City, where it was magically modified to be hidden from No-Majs (the American term for Muggles).”

The Magical Congress of the United States of America also dishes background details about the upcoming movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, out on November 18.
