Heather Locklear was charged in a hit and run accident last Saturday (April 17).

The 48-year-old actress reportedly crashed her BMW around 4 a.m. in Westlake Village, California near her home, according to TMZ.

The offense is a misdemeanor, and Heather was only cited and released instead of taken into custody.

In 2008, Heather was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription drugs in Santa Barbara, Calif.

FYI: Heather‘s lawyer, Blair Berk, just released this statement, “Ms. Locklear was cited with a misdemeanor traffic ticket as she is the registered owner of the vehicle. She was never taken into custody. The matter is still being looked into as it is not yet clear who was driving the vehicle.”

Heather Locklear makes her long-awaited return to Melrose Place and is seen walking around the set in Los Angeles on Tuesday (September 29).

The 48-year-old actress will reprise her role as the dramatic Amanda Woodward character. Despite mixed reviews for the new series, the cast is hoping that Heather‘s return will inject some new (old?) energy into the show. Original series co-stars Laura Leighton, Josie Bissett, Daphne Zuniga and Thomas Calabro will all be making an appearance.

Former Melrose Place and Dynasty star Heather Locklear picks up some meds in a tight white tanktop at a local pharmacy on Monday (August 17) in Westlake Village, Calif.

The 47-year-old former Spin City actress also showed off her gorgeous gams with a pair of short denim shorts. Heather was previously married to Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) and Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi). She is reportedly dating former Melrose co-star, Jack Wagner.

Todd Slavkin, executive producer for the CW update of Melrose Place recently spoke about wanting Heather to join, saying, “The door is always open for Heather Locklear. We’re huge fans and have a great way for her to come into the show!”

Lipstick Jungle star Robert Buckley stars as the hunky love interest of former Melrose Place actress Heather Locklear in the new Lifetime movie Flirting with Forty.

Synopsis: Jackie (Locklear) is a divorced mother of two on the brink of her 40th birthday. When her kids go to stay with her ex for the holidays, Jackie takes a chance on a magical vacation and finds herself in the middle of an unexpected romance with a much younger (and hunkier) man (Kyle Hamilton, played byBuckley). It’s not long before she realizes that life only begins at 40.

The 47-year-old actress was arrested Saturday night in Santa Barbara for “driving erratically” upon leaving a parking lot.

According to The Associated Press, Heather was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication. She was later released without having to post bail.
