Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill‘s new movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E. has been doing well in the international box office – specifically in Russia!
The box office numbers from Russia just came in and the Guy Ritchie film topped the charts in the country, beating out last week’s number one Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, THR reports.
The film brought in 201 million rubles ($3.1 million), exceeding expectations from some who had predicted it would bring in 180 million rubles ($2.7 million).
Armie plays a Russian spy in the action-packed movie. Word is that Russian audiences have been very impressed with Armie‘s accent as well! He’s been getting rave reviews in the movie — check it out if you haven’t already!
You may not know, but Armie‘s great-great-grandfather Julius Hammer was born in Russia, so this all sort of comes full circle that the film would be a success there! In fact, Armie has his Russian name tattooed on his wrist.
