Elijah Wood and Peter Jackson make appearances in what Air New Zealand is calling the “most epic safety video ever made!”

In addition to Elijah, who plays Frodo Baggins, other The Hobbit stars that make cameos in the clip include Dean O’Gorman (Fili the Dwarf) and Sylvester McCoy (Radagast).

The safety video was shot over six days across many of New Zealand’s Middle-earth locations.

“Air New Zealand has created yet another fantastic video to celebrate The Hobbit films,” director Peter Jackson said in a statement. “This latest offering combines members of our cast and our locations with Air New Zealand’s unique personality. I had a lot of fun on the set with Taika [Waititi] and the team and look forward to seeing the video on board.”

In the epic movie, the Company of Thorin has reached Smaug’s lair; but can Bilbo and the Dwarves reclaim Erebor and the treasure? And, if so, can they hold on to it?

Martin Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Cate Blanchett, Luke Evans, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Lee Pace, and Benedict Cumberbatch all star in the film, which is set to hit theaters on December 17.

Cate Blanchett is pretty in pink while attending the press line for her upcoming movie The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies during 2014 Comic-Con on Saturday (July 26) at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego, Calif.

The star-studded list of cast members that were in attendance included Orlando Bloom, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Elijah Wood, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Andy Serkis, and more!

During the panel, director Peter Jackson revealed that never before seen footage from The Lord of the Rings movies may make it into the final film in the franchise.

“There are a few scenes that haven’t been seen from Lord Of The Rings, but not many. We might try to put them back in,” Peter said (via Deadline). “It’s a big logistical thing which haven’t wrapped our heads around. But if there’s enough interest…”

The third The Hobbit film in the series has just undergone a name change from The Hobbit: There and Back Again to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies!

“When we did the premiere trip late last year, I had a quiet conversation with the studio about the idea of revisiting the title. We decided to keep an open mind until a cut of the film was ready to look at. We reached that point last week, and after viewing the movie, we all agreed there is now one title that feels completely appropriate,” director Peter Jackson wrote on his Facebook account. “And so: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies it is.”

“As Professor Tolkien intended, ‘There and Back Again’ encompasses Bilbo’s entire adventure, so don’t be surprised if you see it used on a future box-set of all three movies,” Peter added.

The third film stars Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage, and many more.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues to slay the weekend box office, winning its third in a row with a $29.9 million gross, according to THR.

Coming close in second was Disney’s Frozen, earning an additional $28.8 million and bringing it’s North American total to $248.3 million.

In third place was Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate, which grossed $20.2 million, giving it a domestic total of $83.7 million, just shy of the $85.3 million earned by the first film.

Rounding out the top five were American Hustle, boasting Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence, and Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio, which brought in $19.6 million and $18.5 million, respectively.

Also opening on Christmas weekend was Ben Stiller‘s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which made $13 million, while Keanu Reeves‘ 47 Ronin grossed $9.9 million, and Justin Bieber‘s new docu-film Believe disappointed with $2 million.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug won the box office for the second consecutive weekend with an additional $31.5 million, according to THR.

Coming in at No. 2 was Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate, which grossed $26.8 million, with a five-day total debut of $40 million.

Internationally, the sequel took in $13.4 million from only five markets, which is nearly triple the entire lifetime gross of the first film.

Meanwhile, American Hustle, boasting Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence, tied for third place with Disney’s Frozen, both with a stellar $19.1 million gross. The final numbers will be released Monday to determine which actually took third and which took fourth place.

Finally, Tom Hanks‘ new movie Saving Mr. Banks rounded out the Top 5, earning $9.9 million.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug ruled the box office over the weekend as expected, taking in $73.7 million for its debut.

The film opened 13 percent behind the first film in The Hobbit trilogy, but THR notes that the new flick faced much more competition from strong holdovers at the box office, plus a major snowstorm on the east coast that kept moviegoers at home.

The animated film Frozen continued its great box office run in second place with an estimated $22.2 million, bringing its total to $164.4 million.

Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas took third place $16.1 million, which was less than most other Madea movies from the past, but the film is expected to hold well during the holiday season.

Rounding out the top five were The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with $13.15 million and Thor: The Dark World with $2.7 million.

The star-studded film American Hustle opened in limited release over the weekend and grossed a stellar $690,000 in just six theaters. It will open in wide release next week. Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks also opened in limited release and grossed $421,000 in sixteen theaters.
