Claire Danes and her husband Hugh Dancy have welcomed their first child – a son named Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, JustJared.com can confirm!

The 33-year-old Homeland actress gave birth on Monday (December 17), according to People.

Claire confirmed her pregnancy back in July and went right back to work on her hit Showtime series Homeland, which just wrapped up a record-breaking season over the weekend. She also recently picked up SAG and Golden Globe nominations for her Emmy-winning role as Carrie Mathison.

Congratulations to the happy couple on the exciting news!

Claire Danes joins her hubby Hugh Dancy for lunch out at Bar Pitti on Tuesday (December 11) in New York City.

The 33-year-old pregnant actress and her husband left the restaurant and caught a cab to get to their next location.

The next day, Claire‘s hit show Homeland received three 2013 SAG Award nominations, including a nom for her portrayal of Carrie Mathison. Damian Lewis, as well as the ensemble as a whole, also received nods.

Homeland also received four 2013 Golden Globe noms – including Best Drama! Congrats to the whole cast!

FYI: Claire is carrying the Reed Krakoff ‘Kit’ bag.

The 37-year-old actor had the day off from shooting his new series Hannibal, which explores the early relationship of the renowned psychiatrist and his patient, a young FBI criminal profiler (Dancy), who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.
