Hugh Grant has revealed the name of his baby daughter – it’s Tabitha!

The 51-year-old English actor and the mother of his child “had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive,” his rep told JustJared.com back in November.

Hugh chose Tabitha‘s English name, and the mother chose her Chinese name, he told The Guardian. Hugh also confessed that while he was given a Chinese language book for beginners, he’s only learned “disgusting Chinese words…not entirely appropriate for baby rearing.”

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have had her, I really am. And I feel a better person,” Hugh said.

Hugh Grant has become a father, his rep tells JustJared.com.

“I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl,” a rep for the actor said in a statement. “He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.”

This is the first child for Hugh, 51, who has not revealed who the mother of the child is.

Sarah Jessica Parker is pretty in pink at the gala premiere of Did You Hear About The Morgans? at London’s Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday (December 8).

The 44-year-old actress, who posed for photos with co-star Hugh Grant, recently spoke to Glamour about balancing work and motherhood.

“It is the eternal conflict of every working woman, and I am not complaining, because I’ve done this to myself,” she said.

“And I have a wonderful, wonderful nanny who allows me to be a working person. The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I’m at work. But it is hard.”

Hugh Grant is set to star with Ziyi Zhang in a romantic comedy entitled Lost for Words, reports Variety.

Hugh Grant reportedly first falls for the charms of a director’s translator, but soon recognizes the real object of his affection is the director herself, Ziyi Zhang. However, the translator is the only one able to communicate between the two and she has her own motives and intentions behind her actions.

Lost for Words was written by Jamie Curtis and Dan Mazer (Borat).
