Ian Somerhalder gets a smooch from a fan while leaving Live! with Kelly and Michael on Wednesday (March 13) in New York City.

The 33-year-old was mobbed by his adoring fans outside the studio after making an appearance on the show, but he certainly seemed to be enjoying it!

Later that night, Ian also made an appearance on Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live where he talked about being the fan-favorite choice for the coveted role of Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie.

“There are so many young boys up for this role,” the actor shared. “I can’t say anything other than it’s a very interesting story.”

And when Ian was asked if he was single, he responded: “I would not say that. That’s not the case.”

Ian is currently in a relationship with his The Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev!

FYI: Ian is wearing 3×1 jeans.

The day before, Ian hit up the Drinking Buddies after party at the festival, while his girlfriend Nina Dobrev stepped out in LA for the John Varvatos Stuart House benefit.

Nina Dobrev gets all dolled up for the John Varvatos 2013 Stuart House Benefit held at John Varvatos Los Angeles on Sunday (March 10) in Los Angeles.

“And I’m back! Thank you sun for shining brightly for my arrival. Uhhhh I could NOT get on a plane for 10days+be so happy. Thank god Im not!” the 24-year-old The Vampire Diaries actress tweeted after arriving back in LA.

Meanwhile, Nina‘s beau Ian Somerhalder hit up the 2013 SXSW Film Festival the day before to attend The Branding Bee presents the Drinking Buddies after party live from The Hive held at Maggie Mae’s.

“If you’re at #SXSW stop by the Warner Bros. space 419 Congress today/tmrw & pitch your idea for a new CW digital series. #WBSXSW #SXCW” Ian tweeted the next day.

FYI: Nina is wearing an Elie Saab dress, Pollini shoes, and a Jimmy Choo bag.

Ian Somerhalder is dashing underwater for Lifestyle Mirror‘s latest issue!

Ian Somerhalder steps out to have lunch with a pal on Thursday (February 28) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 34-year-old actor is reportedly being favored by Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James to play the part of Christian Grey in the film adaptation after she sent out a cryptic tweet.

When a fan tweeted a picture of Ian wearing a masquerade mask along with a quote from the book series, E.L. responded with a wide-grinned happy face. Check out the tweet here!

“On the phone with founder of Origin Magazine doing an article for the cover. I’m really proud to be on this cover” Ian added.

Origin magazine is a publication that prides itself on “bringing worlds together, building bridges, and giving consciousness an expanded voice in national media.”
