Jaimie Alexander stops by The Today Show for an interview on Monday morning (October 5) in New York City.
The 31-year-old actress was on the show to promote her new NBC series The Blindspot, in which she plays a woman covered in tattoos from head-to-toe who doesn’t have any memory about her past. To have a little fun with hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, she decided to put a tattoo of their faces on her neck!
In real life, Jaimie has nine tattoos, though she only covers up eight of them for the show. A tiny “ES” on her left wrist is visible throughout the series.
“It’s something I used to say as a little kid. I never used to say, ‘I love you.’ I would mouth, ‘Elephant Shoe.’ If you mouth it, it looks like you’re saying, ‘I love you.’ For me, it’s just one of those things that reminds me to be childlike and sort of look at the world through innocent eyes and just to be open minded,” Jaimie told USA Today.
