PETA Super Bowl Commercial 2018 with James Cromwell - Watch Now

PETA created a commercial for the 2018 Super Bowl starring James Cromwell, who has been a vocal supporter of the organization for years.

The actor plays a priest who gets a visit from a meat industry executive trying to make a confession in hopes of receiving forgiveness for his actions.

The exec confesses that even though he tells customers that the animals slaughtered for meat are treated humanely, that’s not exactly the case.

Cromwell tells the exec that there’s no penance for him and there’s no forgiving him either. “For the love of god, we have to draw the line somewhere,” he says before shutting the door.

The commercial will not actually be airing during the game.

James Cromwell Arrested at SeaWorld Protest, Video Released

James Cromwell was arrested during a protest at SeaWorld in San Diego on Monday (July 24) and the incident was caught on video.

The 77-year-old Oscar-nominated actor interrupted the Orca Encounter show at the theme park while wearing a “SeaWorld Sucks” t-shirt and using a megaphone to speak to the audience. His supporters stood behind him holding signs that read “SeaWorld Kills.”

PETA live streamed the protest on its Facebook page and you can watch the footage below.

“Orcas deserve a full life in the ocean, not a life sentence of swimming endless circles until they drop dead from disease,” James said in a statement. “My friends at PETA and I want SeaWorld to move these intelligent animals to seaside sanctuaries without delay.”

James was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Last month, Cromwell was sentenced to seven days in jail after he refused to pay fines associated with an arrest during the protest of a power plant in upstate New York.

James Cromwell Sentenced to Jail for Not Paying Protest Fines

James Cromwell has been sentenced to seven days in jail after he refused to pay fines associated with an arrest during a protest.

The 77-year-old Oscar-nominated actor, best known for his work in films like Babe and L.A. Confidential as well as the American Horror Story series, was among six protestors who were arrested for a sit-in at a power plant in upstate New York.

Cromwell and the others, who refer to themselves as the “Wawayanda Six,” protested the opening of a natural gas power plant being built in the town. It’s set to open in February 2018 and environmental activists say it will have a negative impact on the environment.

“If we don’t stay together, nothing will change,” Cromwell told the Times Herald-Record of Middletown. “Power to the people.”

George Clooney Has 'Less Time' For Fun Pranks On His Co-Stars Now

George Clooney is master in the art form that is pulling pranks on his co-stars – but it turns out he may be retiring his joking antics now that he’s a father-to-be.

While promoting their film Suburbicon at CinemaCon last month, the 55-year-old actor’s longtime pal and co-star Matt Damon revealed that George behaved while they were making the upcoming flick.

“I don’t think he did anything to me this time, which makes me nervous because that means that something might happen,” Matt, 42, told E! News. “But I think because, you know, he had such huge changes in his own life, he has less time now.”

“He can still definitely be fun, but he just has less time, you know what I mean?,” Matt added. “When he was single and we were doing Ocean’s Eleven that dude had nothing to do, but plot ways to pull pranks on people. But now he’s got a full time job and a full time family. I mean, that’s a lot.”
