James Deen is speaking out after multiple women have accused him of rape in the last few days.

“There have been some egregious claims made against me on social media,” the 29-year-old porn star tweeted. “I want to assure my friends, fans and colleagues that these allegations are both false and defamatory. I respect women and I know and respect limits both professionally and privately.”

TMZ is reporting that James has told friends he thinks his “aggressive” on-camera image led him to be accused of rape. Two porn stars have accused him of sexual assault, one of whom is an ex-girlfriend who claims it happened off camera. None of the accusers have gone to the police yet.

Nolan Gerard Funk and James Deen hit the red carpet at the premiere of their film The Canyons held during the 2013 Venice Film Festival on Friday (August 30) at Palazzo Del Cinema in Venice, Italy.

The guys were joined by their co-star Tenille Houston, screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis, and director Paul Schrader, as well as James‘ girlfriend Stoya.

Noticeably absent was star Lindsay Lohan, who wrote “I wish I could be there to celebrate with you in Venice” to her team via her blog.

Earlier in the day, James and the crew attended a photo call while Nolan was seen visiting the Terrazza Maserati lounge.

FYI: Tenille is wearing a Sydney Evan bracelet and earrings.

Check out Lindsay Lohan in this brand new poster for her upcoming movie The Canyons.

Joining the 27-year-old actress in the poster image are her two love interests in the movie, James Deen and Awkward‘s Nolan Funk.

“When Lindsay came in … she didn’t change any dialogue; she just delivered it differently than I imagined it,” writer Bret Easton Ellis told MTV about Lindsay‘s audition. “And she actually made it more dramatic, a little bit more, probably more gripping, than it would have been if it had been played by an actress who played out the way I had written it.”

The Canyons will be available on demand and in select theaters on August 2.

Check out Lindsay Lohan getting steamy in this brand new trailer for her upcoming flick The Canyons.

The 27-year-old actress stars in the flick opposite James Deen in the story about youth, glamor, and sex in Los Angeles.

“Okay, tell me something – do you really like movies? Really, really like movies? When was the last time you went to see a movie in the theater – you know, a movie that you really felt meant something to you?” Lindsay says in a voice over for the trailer.

A shirtless James Deen gets up close to Lindsay Lohan in this newly released 1930s themed teaser trailer for their upcoming flick The Canyons.

“Last of the trailers (parody, that is). Nikolai Mentin, the editing intern who helped us out in NY, was kind enough to put together one last teaser, this is the style of the Thirities. It was fun teasing with these. People wanted images from the film and I didn’t want to do anything definitive until a distributor was on board so these teasers were an interim solution. The film is now completed and the next step is to screen for multi-platform distribs,” the movie’s Facebook page read, along with the clip.

The Canyons is “about the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition, both personally and professionally, among a group of young people in their 20′s and how one chance meeting connected to the past unravels all of their lives, resulting in deceit, paranoia, cruel mind games and ultimately violence,” and is set to be released sometime next year.

The Canyons, which was written by Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader, also stars Nolan Gerard Funk, who will have a guest gig on Glee this season.
