Ryan Kwanten joins his True Blood co-star James Frain for the 7th Annual K-Swiss Desert Smash on Tuesday (March 8th) at La Quinta Resort in California.

The tennis and golf charity event benefited Variety – The Children’s Charity of the Desert, which promotes and protects the health and well-being of underprivileged and special needs children in the Coachella Valley.

Also in attendance: James Van Der Beek with his wife Kimberly (and baby daughter Olivia), Shameless babe Shanola Hampton, Hawthorne‘s Michael Vartan, Sucker Punch actress Jamie Chung, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn star Maggie Grace.

Tron: Legacy‘s James Frain wears an Emporio Armani suit, shirt, and tie for Da Man‘s latest issue.

Here’s what the 42-year-old British actor, who was previously on True Blood and The Tudors, had to share with the magazine:

On Tron, which opens December 17: “[It] is a total three-dimensional immersion experience that is going to blow your mind.

On his favorite former cast mates: “Ben Affleck, because he’s funny and smart, and Jeff Bridges, because he really is The Dude! [his character in The Big Lebowski]

On how he enjoys his downtime: “I like going out to gigs, galleries and plays, but my favorite things is to hang out with my kids.”

On his healthy motto: “Taking yourself too seriously can make others ill.”
