Mickey Rooney's Funeral Delayed Due to Family Fighting

Mickey Rooney tragically passed away over the weekend, and with the reveal of his will, family fighting has ensued over who will make funeral arrangements, People reports.

The 93-year-old actor’s will revealed that he only had $18,000 to his name, which he left to his step son Mark.

Mickey disinherited his wife Jan, whom he wed in 1978, and children Michael, Mickey Jr., Teddy, Jonelle, Jimmy, Kimmy, Kerry and Kelly Ann.

The court document also reveals that there has been fighting between Jan and Rooney‘s trustee Michael Augustine over control of his remains.

Mickey passed away from natural causes on Sunday.

Mickey Rooney's Wife Jan Hadn't Seen Him Since Last April

Mickey Rooney‘s wife Jan, who he married in 1978, had not seen him since last April and was informed of his death via TMZ, The Hollywood Reporter writes.

Jan told the publication that before his death, Mickey was living at the Studio City home of her son Mark Aber and his wife.

The family had recently been torn apart after Mickey accused another of Jan‘s son Christopher of starving him and depriving him of medicine.

After news of his death hit the Internet, Christopher posted on his Facebook, “Westlake Village at the Pierce Brothers cemetery. Thank you for all your prayers.”

Mickey passed away on Sunday of natural causes after being ill for quite some time.
