Natalie Portman: Ewan McGregor Joins 'Jane Got a Gun'

Natalie Portman steps out with her adorable 22-month-old son Aleph while visiting a friend’s house on Friday (May 10) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 31-year-old actress’ upcoming movie Jane Got a Gun has been having a lot of issues lately with casting after both Jude Law and Bradley Cooper dropped out of the leading male role.

It was revealed earlier this week that Ewan McGregor has been cast in the role of the outlaw gang leader, according to Deadline.

In the film, Natalie “plays the wife of an outlaw (Noah Emmerich) who leaves that gang after he gets shot up, and returns home. Knowing his former outlaw mates will come to finish him off and destroy her farm, Jane is forced to rekindle a relationship with a past love (Joel Edgerton), a capable gunman who can help her.”

Bradley Cooper Exits 'Jane Got a Gun,' Joins 'American Sniper'

Bradley Cooper has dropped out of one high profile project, but he has attached his name to another one!

The 38-year-old actor had to leave the film Jane Got a Gun due to scheduling conflicts after filming on his upcoming David O. Russell-directed flick American Hustle was delayed due to the Boston bombings. No word yet on who will take the role in the film, which will star Natalie Portman.

Bradley just booked a new role in Steven Spielberg‘s next film American Sniper, based on the autobiography of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. Bradley actually optioned the rights to the book himself and set up the project at Warner Bros, according to Deadline.

The film follows “Texas native Kyle‘s journey from rodeo cowboy to SEAL Chief with the highest number of sniper kills in U.S. military history.”

UPDATE: Looks like Bradley has yet another project on his slate! He will star in the film Chef, about Paris chef Adam Jones “who blows his status as an up and coming chef when controlled substances lead to out of control behavior. Jones straightens out and returns to Paris sober, and becomes devoted to building a restaurant that can attain three Michelin stars, the mark of cuisine supremacy,” according to Deadline.
