MTV has officially cut ties with David Eason, the husband of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, due to the homophobic comments he made on Twitter.

Among the comments David said were, “Lmao why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot thats supposed to be normal.” Read more of the tweets on TMZ.

Jenelle defended David by saying, “David didn’t understand how offensive people would get or how Twitter even works. Now that he realizes his voice is very strong within media/tabloids he has deactivated his account. He agrees he will keep his comments to himself from now on. David doesn’t hate people from the LGBT community. My old manager was gay and used to be one of me and David’s close friends. We attended Farrah’s birthday in Miami with a lot of LGBT people there and he didn’t act in any type of way. We went had a good time and left. We are sorry for the comments that were made.”

MTV made the decision to let go of David and not include him in any of the episodes left to be filmed.

“David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV. With six weeks left of production on Teen Mom 2, effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him,” the network said in a statement.

Teen Mom‘s Jenelle Evans debuts her baby bump on the red carpet alongside her boyfriend David Eason at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (August 28) in New York City.

Also seen on the red carpet that evening were Teen Mom OG‘s Farrah Abraham and Teen Mom 2‘s Kailyn Lowry.

Jenelle just revealed her pregnancy this week on Instagram, writing, “Time to introduce the world to our baby girl soon, Ensley Jolie Eason. She will be arriving Jan. 28th. We couldn’t be any happier! 🎀�’�🏼 @uncledave01″

Jenelle has two other sons from previous relationships: Kaiser, 22 months, and Jace, 7.

Birdman – The much anticipated Oscar contender, Birdman, is available on Blu-Ray and DVD today. The film, starring Michael Keaton, follows an aging actor who is trying to make a comeback on Broadway but is haunted by his past and the superhero character that has typecasted him. The film is beautifully made and captures the struggling actor on the brink of madness in what looks like a continuous single shot. Emma Stone and Ed Norton also star in the award-winning movie. The Blu-Ray and DVD offer a special conversation between Michael Keaton and director Alejandro G. Inarritu. The Blu-Ray is a great pick up since the Oscars are right around the corner. This film is a huge contender for Best Picture this year and is expected to pick up many other accolades during the star-studded event.
