Jensen Ackles is developing a spin-off series called The Winchesters, which will follow the love story between Dean and Sam’s parents. He is going to be the narrator of the upcoming The CW series.
Now, Jared says that he and Jensen have made amends after being blindsided.

Jensen Ackles and his wife Danneel Ackles are currently working on a prequel series to Supernatural!
The new series, which has a script commitment at The CW, will center on Dean and Sam Winchester’s parents. The show is being written by Supernatural‘s former co-executive producer Robbie Thompson, who will serve as an executive producer on the new series alongside Jensen and Danneel.

The third season of Amazon’s hit series The Boys is coming soon and the streamer just released the first look at Jensen Ackles in character!
The 43-year-old actor has joined the show as Soldier Boy, hot off his 15-season run on the CW series Supernatural. Check out the full photo in the gallery!
Costume designer Laura Jean Shannon said, “Soldier Boy is the original bad ass. Our goal was to highlight a bygone era of overt masculinity and grit. With that pedigree we dove headfirst into baking in an all-American quality grounded in a military soldier’s practicality with a heavy dose of old school cowboy swagger. We knew that the actor had to have Steve McQueen looks and chops with a John Wayne attitude, luckily Jensen Ackles embodies all of that.”
Showrunner Eric Kripke knew the importance of the Super Suit, saying, “When I cast Jensen as Soldier Boy, the first thing I said was, ‘I’m most excited for you, because of the amazing process you’ll go through with LJ, our Super Suit designer.’ It took six months but the experience surpassed Jensen’s expectations. LJ has made a work of art that tips its hat to the WWII Soldier Boy from the comics, while taking it in a sleek new direction. The cast of the Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One movie has been revealed.
Jensen Ackles leads the cast as Batman/Bruce Wayne with the late Naya Rivera having voiced Catwoman/Selena Kyle ahead of her tragic death in July of 2020.
Other stars from the cast include Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent, Billy Burke as James Gordon, Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, Troy Baker as Joker, Amy Landecker as Barbara Gordon, Julie Nathanson as Gilda Dent, Jack Quaid as Alberto, Fred Tatasciore as Solomon Grundy, and Alastair Duncan as Alfred.
There is intended to be a part two in the series, THR reports. It’s unclear if Naya completed the whole project or just the first half at this time.
Eric Kripke, the creator of the beloved The CW series Supernatural, is opening up about the show’s series finale.
If you didn’t know, Kripke originally developed the series for just three seasons and then expanded it to five seasons following the success of the show. He departed as showrunner after season five and the series continued for a whopping ten more seasons.
Eric told Entertainment Weekly that he had a long talk with series star Jensen Ackles and co-showrunners Andrew Dabb and Bob Singer about the ending.
“It was interesting, they pitched it to me and I went off to think about it for a couple days, and admittedly, me being me, I spent some time thinking, ‘Okay, is there any other ending I would pitch back that I think is better?’” Eric said. “And I spent a couple days trying to chase down a couple avenues and couldn’t come up with anything better. So I went back and I was like, ‘Guys I think it’s the right one.’ There’s some substance to it but there’s something emotional, I think there’s a positive energy around it.”
Eric was asked about how he would’ve ended things and he doesn’t think fans would’ve been happy.
“But I can assure the fans that my ending was so much darker than the ending they’re going with, so anyone who’s like, ‘Kripke should’ve ended it,’ I’m like, ‘You would’ve hated my ending!,’” he said. “Because it was a horror movie and it was going to have a horror movie ending, so I can promise you the ending [they went with] you’ll love much more than if you had let me end the show.”
Fans were not happy about a moment that was left out of the series finale, which they were hoping to see.
