The Bachelor‘s Ben Higgins and his fiancee Jess Clarke are waiting until they are married to have sex.

“It’s just a respect level,” Ben told Nick Viall on the Viall Files podcast. “And also what the logistics of it is.”

They have been dating for around 18 months, and have “definitely” not had sex yet.

They have considered sleeping together before their wedding, which doesn’t have a date.

“We both were like, ‘Yeah, we could definitely see it.’ But what are we giving up to do that?” he said. “At the end of all of this, this is Jess’ day. This is our day as a couple, but I want to make sure she has the wedding she’s always dreamed of and that she feels celebrated.”

Ben Higgins, one of the former stars of The Bachelor, is engaged!

The 30-year-old reality star starred in the 2016 season of the ABC dating series and he got engaged to Lauren Bushnell, but they called off their engagement in May 2017.

Now, Ben is engaged to Jess Clarke, 24, according to Us Weekly.

Ben and Jess have been dating since the start of 2019 after he slid into her DMs on Instagram. Just a couple months ago, he talked about the possibility of marriage.

“I don’t think that’s a question,” Ben told Us Weekly in January 2020. “We’re great. It’s fun. It’s just healthy … I think she would say the same. Our relationship is healthy. I’m a better version of myself, a more free version of myself than I’ve been in a while.”

Ben and Jess are currently quarantining together at his family’s home. Congrats to the happy couple!
