Jim Caviezel Claims 'Sound of Freedom' Movie Is Not Tied to QAnon, Experts Think Otherwise

Jim Caviezel stars in the new movie Sound of Freedom, which has been a surprise mega-hit at the box office this summer.

The film was released on July 4 and has already grossed $85.7 million in its first 13 days of release. The movie, based on Operation Underground Railroad founder Tim Ballard, tells the “story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers.”

Jim, Tim, and the film have all been tied to the QAnon conspiracy theories, which they have denied.

During a July 11 chat with right-wing media figure Charlie Kirk, Jim addressed the claims that he and the film are “QAnon adjacent.”

'Passion of the Christ' Actor Jim Caviezel Is Pushing a False QAnon Conspiracy

Jim Caviezel is endorsing a false QAnon conspiracy theory that claims children are being tortured by rich people in order to harvest their adrenaline.

The 52-year-old The Passion of the Christ actor pushed the crazy and false theory during an appearance at a right-wing conference on Friday night (April 16) in Oklahoma.

The theory about “the adrenochroming of children” is the basis of QAnon’s #SaveTheChildren movement and people have pointed out how it’s basically the plot of the animated movie Monsters, Inc.

Jim was asked to explain the theory.

“Essentially, you have adrenaline in your body,” he said (via TheWrap). “And when you are scared, you produce adrenaline. If you’re an athlete, you get in the fourth quarter, you have adrenaline that comes out of you. If a child knows he’s going to die, his body will secrete this adrenaline. And they have a lot of terms that they use that he [Ballard] takes me through, but it’s the worst horror I’ve ever seen. The screaming alone, even if I never, ever, ever saw it, it’s beyond — and these people that do it, umm, there will be no mercy for them.”

There were reports a few years ago that a Passion of the Christ sequel was in the works.

Jim Caviezel In Talks to Star in 'Passion of the Christ' Sequel

Jim Caviezel might be starring in a sequel to his smash hit 2004 movie The Passion of the Christ, which Mel Gibson is presumably going to direct.

The 49-year-old actor memorably played the role of Jesus in the film and it grossed $612 million worldwide on a budget of just $30 million.

Caviezel‘s agents at ICM Partners confirmed to THR that negotiations are currently being held for him to star in The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection.

Gibson revealed in an interview months ago that the movie will not be released until late 2019 or early 2020.
