The stars of Star Wars are getting ready for the release Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!

Stars Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, and John Boyega joined director J.J. Abrams at the 2019 Brazil Comic-Con to promote their new movie on Saturday (December 7) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

During the event, the cast teased what to expect in the new movie – and J.J. said he “can’t wait” for fans to see the return of villain Emperor Palpatine.

“That character, as you’ll see, he’s got such extraordinary power. I can’t wait for you to see how and why that character’s back and what it means for these characters,” J.J. said while gesturing towards Daisy, John, and Oscar.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20!

Jane Lynch and Catherine O’Hara are all smiles on the black carpet as they step out for the 2019 Hammer Museum Gala on Saturday night (October 12) at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.

The funny ladies both sported chic black looks as they attended the event, which celebrates artists and icons who have made profound contributions to society through their work.

Oscar Isaac joins John Boyega and Daisy Ridley on stage during the D23 Expo on Saturday (August 23) in Anaheim, Calif.

The co-stars were joined by writer/director JJ Abrams as they promoted the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Other cast members in attendance included Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Joonas Suotama, Kelly Marie Tran, and newcomer Keri Russell.

During the event, the cast debuted the new movie poster, which features Emperor Palpatine looking over Rey and Kylo Ren fighting.

You can see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it hits theaters on December 20.

Sara Bareilles belts out her song “Little Voice” while appearing live at Apple’s “It’s Showtime” event at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park on Monday morning (March 25) in Cupertino, Calif.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter joined J.J. Abrams to talk about their upcoming series Little Voice, a 10-episode half-hour romantic dramedy.

Jessie Nelson, who wrote the book for the musical Waitress, wrote and directed the first episode and will serve as showrunner. Sara is writing original music for the series.

The show shares the name of Sara‘s debut album and it “explores the universal journey of finding your authentic voice in your early 20s. It is described as a fresh, intensely romantic tale of the search to find your true voice… and then the courage to use it,” according to Deadline.

“Little Voice” is a previously unreleased song from Sara‘s catalog and it will serve as the theme song for the series!

Jon Hamm, Idris Elba, and Adrien Brody look sharp at the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party!

The 47-year-old Black Mirror actor, the 46-year-old Luther star, and the 45-year-old The Grand Budapest Hotel actor stepped out for the event held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

They were joined by Idris‘s fiancee Sabrina Dhowre, Jack Huston, Michael Keaton, J.J. Abrams, and Jeff Goldblum.

FYI: Jon is wearing Brunello Cucinelli. Idris and Sabrina are wearing Christian Louboutin shoes. Michael is wearing a Brioni suit. Jeff is wearing a Givenchy suit, a Saint Laurent shirt, turtleneck and boots, and Jacques Marie Mage glasses, while his wife Emilie is wearing Céline.

Director J.J. Abrams just sent out his first ever tweet and it is about Star Wars and the late Carrie Fisher.

If you don’t know, Star Wars: Episode IX started filming last week with J.J. directing.

“Bittersweet starting this next chapter without Carrie, but thanks to an extraordinary cast and crew, we are ready to go. Grateful for @rianjohnson and special thanks to George Lucas for creating this incredible world and beginning a story of which we are lucky to be a part. #IX,” J.J. wrote.

Lena Dunham and J.J. Abrams hug it out at the 2018 Athena Film Festival Awards Ceremony on Friday night (February 23) at Barnard College in New York City.

The 31-year-old actor/director looked energetic and healthy after recently undergoing a full hysterectomy attended the event to honor the 51-year-old director with the Leading Man Award at the female-focused festival.
