Rest in Peace to Joanna Cole.

The famed author of “The Magic School Bus” book series has passed away at the age of 75 from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in Sioux City, Iowa, AP is reporting.

Scholastic honored Joanna in a statement following the news of her passing.

There are 13 books in “The Magic School Bus” series and centers on educator Ms. Frizzle leading her students on journeys that explored everything from the solar system to underwater and beyond.

A fourteenth book, “The Magic School Bus Explores Human Evolution”, is expected to come out next spring.
