Producer Joel Silver is being sued by the family of his former assistant, who died while with him in Bora Bora.

The 65-year-old producer of the Matrix trilogy was joined by his assistant Carmel Musgrov while on Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux‘s honeymoon vacation in 2015.

Carmel‘s family is claiming that she was fed drugs and alcohol before she drowned in the ocean outside of her bungalow, according to THR.

French authorities found the drowning to be the result of overconsumption of alcohol, consumption of cocaine, fatigue caused by overwork, heat stroke after the fishing trip and a midnight swim during unfavorable weather conditions.

Carmel‘s family say Joel‘s conduct contributed to four of the five factors.

Joel has not yet commented on the lawsuit.

Movie producer Joel Silver‘s assistant Carmel Musgrove was reportedly found dead on the beach in Bora Bora on Thursday (August 20), according to Us Weekly.

Silver was in town along with newlyweds Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux and a bunch of their friends on their honeymoon vacation.

Carmel, who was the producer’s assistant for several years, was reportedly swimming alone in the ocean before going missing. The incident is currently being investigated by authorities and her family is en route to the island.
