Joey Feek Dead - Country Singer Passes Away at 40

Joey Feek, one half of the country duo Joey + Rory, has sadly passed away at age 40.

The country singer passed away on Friday afternoon (March 4) after a long battle with cervical cancer, surrounded by family and friends at home in her native Indiana.

“My wife’s greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven,” her husband Rory wrote on the couple’s blog, which has been documenting her journey with cancer.

Joey had battled cervical cancer since 2014. She underwent surgery for the disease that year, but it returned in 2015 and she stopped all treatments that October.

Joey and Rory share a two-year-old daughter, Indiana.

We send our thoughts and condolences to Joey‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
