Stephen Colbert to Host 'Daily Show' Reunion With Jon Stewart

Get ready for a mini Daily Show reunion!

Stephen Colbert will welcome his former colleagues Jon Stewart, Samantha Bee, John Oliver, Ed Helms, and Rob Corddry on The Late Show on Tuesday, May 9 @ 11:35/10:35c on CBS.

The network described it as a “special evening of comedy and conversation.”

If you remember, Stephen was a Daily Show correspondent from 1997 to 2005, and is still great friends with Jon.

He’s in a little bit of hot water right now after receiving backlash over a comment he made during a rant about Donald Trump.

Jon Stewart donned a serious wig while impersonating Donald Trump during his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week.

The 54-year-old former Daily Show host rarely does interviews anymore, but stopped by to talk to his old colleague about the current President.

“I thought this is how men dress now,” Jon said. “The president sets men’s fashion. I saw the inauguration, super long tie, dead animal on head. Boom.”

He brought a list of Trump‘s “future executive orders,” one of which included changing the language.

“The new official language of the United States is bullsh-t,” he said. “I, Donald J. Trump, have instructed my staff to speak only in bullsh-t.”

Adam Driver Watches Jon Stewart Roast Donald Trump at Stand Up for Heroes 2016!

Adam Driver happily flashes a smile alongside Staff Sergeant, US Army Michael Kacer, while attending the 2016 Stand Up For Heroes Gala Concert held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Monday (November 1) in New York City.

The 32-year-old actor was joined by Bridget Moynahan, and performers of the evening Bruce Springsteen, Jim Gaffigan, Jerry Seinfeld, Louis C.K., Jon Stewart and Phillip Phillips.

Jon hit the stage with a 15 minute set about the race for the presidency, roasting candidate Donald Trump in the process.

“To be here tonight with you guys, my heroes, on the eve of the last American election is so exciting,” Jon expressed (via CNN). “I’m not in the game anymore. I’m not as much of a political analyst… but if I could ask you a question that I’ve been saying to my television, it’s ‘What the [expletive deleted]? What the [expletive deleted] is going on? What is happening?!’ I thought when a guy got off a bus and says, ‘I’m going to grab her by the [expletive deleted],’ then okay, we’re done. The election is over. Usually that is a signifier that we don’t have to pay attention anymore.”

Jon Stewart Returns to 'Daily Show' for the First Time, Slams Congress - Watch Now!

Jon Stewart returned to The Daily Show for the first time since stepping down earlier this summer, joining current host Trevor Noah on stage.

The 53-year-old former talk show host went back on the show to slam congress over the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, which is set to completely expire by next October. The act has provided health care to 9/11 responders who were made ill.

“It’s soon going to be out of money,” Jon said. “These first responders, many sick with cancers and pulmonary disease, have had to travel at their own expense to Washington, D.C., hundreds of times to plead for our government to do the right thing.”

“The only conclusion that I can draw is that the people of Congress are not as good a people as the people who are first responders,” Jon continued.
