30 Actors Who Appeared on 'General Hospital' Before They Were Super Famous

Lots of actors get their starts on soap operas and we’re taking a look at all of the famous actors who appeared on General Hospital before getting their big breaks elsewhere.

General Hospital has been airing on ABC since 1963 and just celebrated its 61st anniversary on April 1.

While many of the actors on the show have remained in their roles for decades, many celebs got their start on the soap opera and eventually broke into the world of film and primetime television.

Stars like James Franco, Chandra Wilson, Elizabeth Taylor, and more have had guest arcs on General Hospital after they were already famous, so we’re not including them here.

'Nashville' Season 5 Trailer Promises Lots to Come - Watch Now!

The first trailer for the new episodes of season five of Nashville is here, and it’s teasing some big moments to come.

The returning cast includes Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, Clare Bowen as Scarlett O’Connor, Chris Carmack as Will Lexington, Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Maisy Stella as Daphne Conrad and Lennon Stella as Maddie Conrad.

Connie Britton, who originally starred in the show, won’t be returning for new episodes.

Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere & More Returning for 'Nashville' Season 5

Nashville has been confirmed to return to CMT for season five, and now we have a list of the returning cast members!

Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere are both set to return for the 22-episode season, TV Line has learned.

Also set to appear on the show are Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella and Chris Carmack. Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples will not be back as series regulars at this time.

The show was cancelled by ABC last month.

'Nashville' Being Shopped to Other Networks After Cancellation

Fans of Nashville can keep a little bit of hope as the show is being shopped around to other networks in hope of getting another season!

ABC announced on Thursday that the show had been canceled after four seasons, but now THR is reporting that Lionsgate, the studio that produces the series, is looking to keep it alive.

It is being reported that season four ends with a major cliffhanger, so we definitely hope the series gets a second chance and a fifth season!

The show will end with a series finale episode on May 25 after four seasons on the air.

'Nashville' Canceled By ABC After Four Seasons

Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere‘s musical drama series Nashville has been canceled by ABC after four seasons.

The show is one of the few that wasn’t renewed by ABC in its big spree of renewals back in March and it’s surprising that it was canceled as the show does well in the ratings thanks to a DVR boost.

Nashville was set to hit its 100th episode in season five, but unfortunately the final episode will air on May 25. The show also starred Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Will Chase, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Aubrey Peeples, Lennon Stella, and Maisy Stella.

Hayden Panettiere & Connie Britton Lead 'Nashville for Africa' Concert!

Hayden Panettiere, Connie Britton, and Charles Esten hit the stage for the Nashville for Africa concert on Monday (February 15) at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

The cast of the hit ABC series performed the concert to support the African Children’s Choir.

Also performing for the crowd were Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen (and fiance Brandon Young), Aubrey Peeples, Chris Carmack, Chaley Rose, and Will Chase, as well as music stars Dierks Bentley and Ingrid Michaelson.

“Such a beautiful night with great friends and these UNBELIEVABLE kids!! Well done, @conniebritton and @acchoir �’�,” Charles tweeted the next day.
