Charlotte Church sings during an intimate acoustic performance at The Eldridge on Wednesday (December 8) in New York City.
The 24-year-old Welsh singer belted out several songs from her latest album, Back to Scratch, with boyfriend Jonathan Powell on guitar.
“I wasn’t aware of it at the time, but I was drawing on my own pain [for the album],” Charlotte, who earlier this year called off her engagement with rugby player Gavin Henson, told Britain’s Daily Mail.
“‘We split for really normal reasons. There was never any professional jealousy. We tried to make things work, as we have two young children,” she explained.
“But our house had been turning into an unhappy one, so we did what was best for everyone,” she said. “At the moment, everything is amicable.”
