Netflix has debuted the full trailer for Casting JonBenet – and it will give you chills.

The film, from Australian director Kitty Green, has been deemed a “documentary hybrid,” as it pushes the boundaries of the traditional documentary.

Casting JonBenet revolves around “the unsolved death of six-year-old American beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, which remains the world’s most sensational child murder case. Over 15 months, responses, reflections and performances were elicited from the Ramsey‘s Colorado hometown community, creating a bold work of art from the collective memories and mythologies the crime inspired.”

JonBenet Ramsey's Brother Sues CBS For $750 Million

JonBenet Ramsey‘s brother, Burke, has filed a $750 defamation lawsuit against CBS.

He is fighting allegations that he murdered his six-year-old sister, which was implied in the network’s documentary special The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey that aired in September.

The suit was filed in Michigan against CBS, a production company, and seven investigators who were involved in the case, according to E! News.

His lawyers claim that the program incriminated him in JonBenet‘s 1996 death and was filled with “lies, half-truths, manufactured information, and the intentional omission and avoidance of truthful information about the murder of JonBenet Ramsey,” which hurt his reputation.

He is seeking $500 million in punitive damages and $250 million in compensatory damages.

'Who Killed JonBenet?' Director Explains Why JonBenet Ramsey Narrated Lifetime Movie

With the 20th anniversary of JonBenet Ramsey‘s death coming up next month, many networks have been airing movies and specials about the mysterious crime.

In case you didn’t know, JonBenet was a six-year-old beauty pageant star who was murdered in her home back in 1996 – and the crime remains unsolved.

In a Lifetime original movie called Who Killed JonBenet?, which premiered on Saturday (November 5), the narrator’s voice (played by Payton Lepinski) is spoken from the point of view of JonBenet, causing some people to wonder if the decision was a little too bold (and eerie).

The movie’s director Jason LaPeyre recently explained why he made this choice.

“I mean, that was something that originally came from the writer, but I immediately really liked the idea,” Jason told E! News. “I liked it because I felt it was haunting, literally, but I thought it was a very unsettling device.”

“But yeah, it was this idea of this human being, JonBenet Ramsey,” he added. “Lots of people have seen video of her dancing and heard her singing, but I’m not sure anyone’s ever stopped to think of her saying something or having a conversation, or having her own ideas about what may have happened that night, so we thought dramatically that was an interesting device with which to frame the story.”

Katy Perry is JonBenet Ramsey? Crazy Conspiracy Goes Viral

A crazy conspiracy theory that Katy Perry is actually murder victim JonBenet Ramsey is going viral online.

A YouTube video from 2014 that details someone’s theory has resurfaced and it is making its way around the web. A man is heard explaining why he believes JonBenet wasn’t actually murdered in 1996 and how it was all just a coverup.

Included in the theory are the ideas that Katy‘s parents are actually Patsy and John Ramsey, who allegedly faked their daughter’s death so she could become famous eventually.

There are other videos out there that say Katy and JonBenet have similar eyebrows, jawlines, and noses.

Something that doesn’t add up though is that Katy is 31 while JonBenet would have turned 26 this year.
