The highly-anticipated new musical Here Lies Love has officially opened on Broadway!
Musical theatre legend Lea Salonga celebrated at the opening night performance alongside co-stars Arielle Jacobs, Conrad Ricamora, and Jose Llana on Thursday (July 20) at the Broadway Theatre in New York City.
Also walking the red carpet at the event were the show’s composer David Byrne and co-producer H.E.R.
Here Lies Love is an immersive musical based on the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos and the People Power Revolution of the Philippines. The staging has transformed the Broadway Theatre’s traditional seating area into a dance club environment, where audiences stand and move with the actors. There are both standing and seating options available in the venue.
