It’s official – Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have joined the cast of The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. has announced.

Earlier this year, the two actors were reported to have landed roles in the Christopher Nolan-directed flick, though their characters were unknown.

Now we know who they’ll be playing!

Joseph will take on the role of John Blake, “a Gotham City cop who is given a special assignment under the command of Commissioner Gordon,” according to The Wrap.

Meanwhile, Marion “will play Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member who wants to help Bruce Wayne, who’s still grieving, resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors in the city.”

Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Anne Hathaway will play Catwoman, and Tom Hardy will play Bane.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Juno Temple have officially been cast in The Dark Knight Rises, Variety reports.

Joesph, 29, who was rumored to have joined the cast last month, will be playing Alberto Falcone, the son of Mafia chieftain Carmine Falcone (The Holiday Killer), the character Tom Wilkinson played in Batman Begins.

Juno, 21, is set to play a street-smart Gotham girl.

The Christopher Nolan-directed film will also feature roles from Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Hardy. We can’t wait!

The Sundance-featured flick, which the two filmed back in 2009, also stars The Office‘s Rainn Wilson as Paul, a father grief-stricken by the loss of his wife.

Joseph plays the long-haired, tattooed title character who moves in with Paul and his son TJ (Devin Brochu), while Natalie co-stars as a super market cashier, whom TJ might have a crush on.

The drama is expected to hit theaters in April.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join the cast of The Dark Knight Rises, Deadline reports.

No word yet on what role the 29-year-old actor would be play, but Joseph will reportedly be on hand when director Christopher Nolan, whom he worked with on Inception, starts production this spring.

Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy were recently announced as confirmed cast members for the film.

For the special issue, the magazine “went back to the basics – no teenagers, no penguins, no (full-on) nudity, just the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment.”

The three-panel foldout, which was shot in L.A. and NYC, also features Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, Noomi Rapace, and Robert Duvall.

“We wanted to evoke the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, an era of smoky, alluring elegance,” said VF fashion and style director Jessica Diehl. “We had the gentlemen looking dashing in black tie, whilst the ladies were radiant in spring’s gowns – from Gucci to Yves Saint Laurent – and glittering with diamonds from Chanel and other arbiters of glamour.”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s older brother, Dan, has passed away unexpectedly.

Dan, born in 1974, was a photographer and fire spinner.

“BURNING dAN brightly embodied that bold beastly bliss sometimes referred to as ‘the creative spirit,’” Joseph wrote. “He was my chief collaborator on the foundational incarnations of hitRECord.org over the years and continues to inspire us ever the more. He would absolutely positively insist that we not let this bad news deter us on our collective mission. That said, I might not feel up to it for a little while.”

“Let’s celebrate him,” Joseph added, “because he’s f—ing awesome.”

Earlier in the month, while filming the new thriller, Joseph crashed his bike into the back window of a taxi. He ended up needing 31 stitches according to E!. This time around, it looked like Joe stayed injury-free.
