Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are teaming up to executive produce Cult, a new pilot for The CW!

Here’s the synopsis from Variety: “After a rash of disappearances and a likely murder, an inquisitive, young female production assistant on a wildly popular television show called Cult joins a journalist blogger in investigating the rabid fans of the series who might be re-creating crimes seen on the program, in real life.”

The show was originally developed for The WB a few years ago and was also close to being produced in the 2009-10 season on The CW.

Rachel Bilson is reuniting with The O.C. creator/executive producer Josh Schwartz for a supernatural romantic comedy titled Ghost Angeles.

The hourlong project for NBC was created and will be written by Josh and Henry Alonso Myers (Ugly Betty).

According to Deadline, the show will center on a young woman in Los Angeles who can talk to the dead, helping the spirits as much as they are helping her.

FYI: Rachel, who is friends with Josh and his wife Jill Stonerock (she served as maid of honor at their wedding), also appeared on a few episodes of Josh‘s NBC dramedy Chuck.

Rachel was accompanied by Josh Schwartz and his wife Jill (he created The O.C., Gossip Girl and Chuck). It’s great to see that these two are still such great friends!

FYI: Rachel was the maid of honor at Josh and Jill‘s wedding.

Rachel Bilson is led through the paparazzi by a gal pal Jill Stonerock as they leave Bardot lounge in Hollywood on Thursday night (August 6).

The 27-year-old actress was there to celebrate pal Josh Schwartz‘s 33rd birthday. In the pictures below, Josh is wearing the blue/red plaid shirt and is holding his wife Jill‘s hand.

Josh and Jill were married in September 2008 and had Rachel serve as the the maid of honor at the wedding.

Who else was there for Josh‘s birthday bash? Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford and Melrose Place‘s Ashlee Simpson. (Josh created Gossip Girl and The O.C., which helped launch Rachel‘s career.)

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Gossip Girl‘s creators and executive producers, were at the Apple store in SoHo, NYC on Tuesday to talk about their hit CW show.

According to Nylon, Josh said, “We’re not doing things according to the books anymore. Because in the books, each character turns gay and then straight like ten times. I don’t think the CW would be really into that… actually, neither would most of the actors.”

Alright, not ten times. How about five then?

Josh also mentioned Michelle Tractenberg, aka bad girl Georgina Sparks, would be back. “It’s safe to say you haven’t seen the last of her,” he admitted. We sort of hate Georgia Sparks but sort of love Michelle Tractenberg, so that sounds like a mixed bag to us.”

EW also reports that Laura Breckenridge (Related) is joining the cast as Rachel Carr, the new English teacher at Constance Billard who doesn’t’ get along with Blair (Leighton Meester).

Jill married 32-year-old Josh Schwartz, the creator of The O.C., Gossip Girl and Chuck. Rachel was a series regular on The O.C. and has made cameo appearances on Chuck (Season premiere on Monday, Sept. 29).
