'Veep' Dethrones 'Modern Family' for Comedy Series Emmys Win

Veep has seemingly done the impossible and it has dethroned Modern Family as the winner of the Outstanding Comedy Series category at the 2015 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 20) in Los Angeles.

The HBO series, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has been nominated three times in the past and finally picked up a win for its fourth season.

Modern Family has been the victor in the category for the last five years. The other nominees were Louie, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley, Transparent, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Julia and actor Tony Hale also picked up awards for the series tonight!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus goes classic in a black dress on the red carpet at the 2015 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 20) in Los Angeles.

The 54-year-old actress was joined on the red carpet by her Veep co-stars Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Gary Cole, and Timothy Simons.

Julia is up for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy award for her work in Veep! Tony also has a nomination for Supporting Actor, along with the show for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Celebrities Get Ready for the Emmys - Including the Muppets!

Cat Deeley looks stunning on the red carpet of Audi’s Emmys Week 2015 Celebration held at Cecconi’s Restaurant on Thursday night (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The pregnant 38-year-old So You Think You Can Dance host was joined at the event by her husband Patrick Kielty as well as Joel McHale, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tara Reid and Lindsey Vonn.

With the Emmys just a day away, everyone is getting prepared for the big day – the Muppets included!

The Television Academy and Audi just shared a funny video in which Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy meet up for the first time since their very public breakup to discuss how they are going work together on their new show.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus flashes a big smile while attending 826LA’s 10th Anniversary Gala held at the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club on Tuesday (June 16) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 54-year-old Veep star was joined by Thandie Newton, J.J. Abrams, B.J. Novak, and Jimmy Kimmel who hosted the event in support of the non-profit organization, which dedicates itself to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

Last month, Julia looked so stylish while arriving at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards in Beverly Hills.

Julia Louis Dreyfus & the 'Broad City' Stars Hit the Critics' Choice Television Awards 2015

Julia Louis-Dreyfus looks so stylish while arriving at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards held at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday evening (May 31) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 54-year-old Veep star is nominated tonight in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category. She was joined on the red carpet by Broad City stars Ilana Glazer (who is nominated in the same category) and Abbi Jacobson.

Other nominees that were seen at the event include Felicity Huffman, Queen Latifah, Katheryn Winnick, Lorraine Toussaint (who won that evening), and Mayim Bialik (with her co-star Johnny Galecki). Also on the red carpet were Judy Greer, Mel B, Yvonne Stahovski, and Emmanuelle Chriqui.

Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Tina Fey & More Arrive for Final 'Late Show With David Letterman' Taping

Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld look super excited as they arrive at the Ed Sullivan Theatre for the final taping of The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday night (May 20) in New York City.

The duo was joined by tons of celebs who came out for the last show, including Barbara Walters, Steve Martin, Peyton Manning, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Alec Baldwin, and Bill Murray, all of whom – SPOILER ALERT – participated in a final “Top Ten List” segment. Tina Fey also attended.

Also making appearances via a pre-recorded video were President Barack Obama, as well as former Presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush.

'Seinfeld' Heads to Hulu in $180 Million Syndication Deal

Huge news for Seinfeld fans – the show will be heading to Hulu very soon in a major new deal!

It is being reported that the streaming service will be paying $180 million for the full series in the first SVOD (subscription video on demand) deal for the show. This works out to $1 million an episode as there were 180 episodes across nine seasons.

The deal is expected to be announced at Hulu’s upfront presentation this Wednesday.

Seinfeld starred Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander. It is considered one of the best television series of all time and the series finale in 1998 was watched by over 76 million people.
