Julia Roberts Named World's Most Beautiful Woman By 'People' for Record 5th Time!

Julia Roberts has been named by 2017 World’s Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine – the fifth time in her career she’s received the honor!

The 49-year-old actress first covered the mag back in 1991 when she was 23 years old – just one year after Pretty Women skyrocketed her to fame.

“People say, ‘Oh, when Pretty Woman came out it must have really changed your life,’ and it’s kind of become this joke, but the truth is I was out of town when Pretty Woman came out…I was in another movie in this tiny little town that was showing Star Wars in its first run. I remember reading … ‘Pretty Woman came out this weekend and made this much money’ and I thought, ‘Is that a lot of money? Is that good? Is that great?’ I didn’t really know,” Julia said.

“I mean every day my husband walks in the door it’s like a recurring dream. I’m like, ‘Ah, he’s back!’” Julia joked. She also said on the honor, “I am very flattered.”

I love it when it’s easy, and I love it when it’s challenging. I love being able to go to bed at 8:30. Julia Roberts Will Star in Her First TV Series!

Julia Roberts is set to star in a television series for the first time!

The Oscar-winning actress will appear in an adaptation of the book “Today Will Be Different” by Maria Semple. There is no network attached to the limited series just yet, but we’re pretty sure that will change soon.

Julia will play Eleanor Flood, who “is admittedly a bit of a mess, as she decides that today is the day to tackle the little things that she has been neglecting. Of course, life gets in the way of success as a fake-sick son, errant husband, and a former colleague with bomb-dropping memoir derail her modest plan. Taking place over the course of one day, the series is described as a ‘hilarious, heart-filled story’ about reinvention, sisterhood, and how sometimes it takes facing up to our former selves to truly begin living,” according to Variety.
