Justin Melnick, best known for playing Brock Reynolds on the CBS series SEAL Team, is recovering after falling out of a helicopter.
The accident happened while Justin was shooting a commercial, which had no connection to the TV show, on Saturday (February 20) near the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Variety confirmed with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Office that Justin was transported to the hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries. He reportedly fell 15-20 feet from the helicopter while during a fast-roping stunt.
For those that don’t know, Justin worked as a dog handler on SEAL Team before joining the show as an actor. He is the real-life owner and handler of a dog named Dita, who plays the dog Cerberus on the show.
Justin was reportedly performing a stunt with a dog during the accident and the dog is also recovering and in good condition.
