Katy Tiz is back with a new song called “Life” and you can listen to it here!

The song features British singer Ed Drewett and it’s her first release under her new label, 5Towns Records.

“This is a song that I fought for and believed in forever, and it’s the first time I can honestly say that I followed through on something,” Katy said in an interview with iHeartRadio. “I’ve stuck with it and never faulted on it. I joined up with 5Towns with Steve Madden, their label, and they believed in it as much as I did. So, it’s really taught me a lesson [that] if you believe in something, do not give up on it, because eventually, something will come around.”

“Ok… So… FINALLY! I can talk about it! It’s been bloody hard to keep quiet! Here’s my single ‘Whistle!’” Katy said in an exclusive statement. “I am so proud of this little baby, I co-wrote it with some amazing humans and the story comes from my heart!”

“Thanks to Just Jared for premiering this… and if you need me I’ll be in Starbucks doing some kind of weird excited dance and singing it to everyone!” Katy added.

Katy Tiz hits the red carpet while attending the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party on Friday evening (June 27) at the Fontainebleau’s BleauLive in Miami Beach, Fla.

The up-and-coming singer is best known for her new song “The Big Bang,” which is climbing up the radio charts these days.

If you didn’t know, the song was written by Rock Mafia and the group recorded the song back in 2010. They even released a video for the track, which featured Miley Cyrus and Kevin Zegers!

Now, a clever fan has placed Katy‘s version of the song over the old video that was released. Check it out below:

Katy was previously signed to Lava/Republic, but she was dropped last fall and had to re-group. She didn’t have a new record label contract until one month ago, but her song has already been climbing the Pop Songs chart and playing on radio stations across the country.

“I didn’t believe for a minute that I was going to have a second chance,” Katy told Billboard. “Things didn’t work out in my first situation. You have the dream of being able to do it again, but you also know that’s harder to pull off.”
