“Ruben. He was the second winner. Yeah, Ruben would have been hard,” Kelly said. “I feel like there are nights when I can be effortless and those are amazing and I feel like, Oh My God. I’m amazing but he’s effortless every time.”
Harry responded by saying, “Do you ever find when you come off stage that you thought you were the most amazing thing ever and you kind of got a whatever response and vice versa. Happens all the time right?”
Kelly replied, “Yes, yes.”
Kelly kicked off Harry’s new segment “American Idol: Then and Now” which will run through November, following up with past Idol contestants including Kelly, Ruben, Kellie Pickler, and more!

Kelly Clarkson and her adorable daughter River Rose, 2, dance to Salt-N-Pepa‘s “Push It” as part of the Diabetes Dance Dare to raise money for the disease.
“I’ve been dared by Melissa Peterman to do the Diabetes Dance Dare,” the 34-year-old entertainer said in the video. “So I accepted your challenge — so does River Rose, she’s already ready. She’s prepping, this is her warm-up.”
The 34-year-old singer has revealed that she made her husband Brandon Blackstock get a vasectomy.
“I was literally pregnant with Remi, and I was like, ‘You are getting fixed. This will never happen to me again,’” Kelly said on SiriusXM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show. “If something happens, it’s a miracle of God. I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, ‘If I get pregnant again, I will find you!’”
“I was like hospitalized both pregnancies. And then I thought, I wanted another little buddy [for River]. I didn’t want a kid to just be an odd man out because I felt like that a lot. I wanted her to have somebody her age, like when we’re traveling. And so I thought, ‘OK, we’ll just do it again.’ I was like, ‘There’s no way it can happen again,’ but it was worse. Remi‘s pregnancy was worse than River‘s,” Kelly added.
