Dove Cameron brought opera singer Renee Fleming to tears with her beautiful performance at the 2023 Kennedy Center Honors event.

The 27-year-old singer and actress performed during the annual event, which aired on CBS on Wednesday (December 27).

Dove starred on the West End opposite Renee in the musical The Light in the Piazza and they also brought the show to Los Angeles. During the Kennedy Center event, Dove performed the title song from the musical.

The 2023 Kennedy Center Honors special is airing this week and it marks the 46th celebration of the arts from the nation’s capital!

Billy Crystal, Queen Latifah, Renee Fleming, Dionne Warwick, and Barry Gibb are being honored at this year’s event, which was pre-taped earlier this month at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The 2023 Kennedy Center Honors have been announced!

The annual celebration of important figures in the arts and entertainment world is taking place on December 3 in Washington, D.C., and will be filmed for later broadcast on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

Four of the five honorees come from the world of music this year!

“This year we pay special tribute to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, a uniquely American culture whose constant evolution is one of enduring relevance and impact, reflecting our society as it has grown into an international phenomenon,” said Deborah F. Rutter, Kennedy Center president, in a statement via Variety.

The 2021 Kennedy Center Honors are airing tonight!

The annual celebration of the arts is being broadcasted on CBS and Paramount+ at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday (December 22), recorded earlier this month in the Kennedy Center Opera House at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

This year, the organization celebrates five honorees: Bette Midler, Justino Diaz, Joni Mitchell, Berry Gordy and Lorne Michaels.

Moments ago, CBS revealed the honorees for the 2017 Kennedy Center Honors.

Each year, several figures are chosen for and recognized for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts .

This year, five entertainers were chosen for their contributions to the arts. You can watch the ceremony this year on December 26 at 9/8c on CBS. The ceremony will be pre-taped earlier in the month.
