Stars like Katie Holmes, Alan Cumming, and Rose Byrne are all joining Broadway’s best talent in supporting the Roundabout Theatre Company!

The three stars – who have all starred on Broadway themselves – stepped out for the 2024 Roundabout Theatre Company Gala on Monday night (March 4) at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.

The event honored director Kenny Leon with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre and The Rudin Family with the Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. These awards are given to those who have made an indelible impact on both theatre and Roundabout.

Oscar winner Ariana DeBose gave a special concert performance at the gala.

Helen Mirren shines in a silver gown on the red carpet at the 2022 Roundabout Theatre Company Gala at The Ziegfeld Ballroom on Monday (March 7) in New York City.

The 76-year-old actress took to the stage to honor three-time Tony recipient Chita Rivera with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre.

“I know this is a prestigious award because I’ve received it,” Helen joked during her speech, per Variety. She added, “Even a global pandemic can’t keep Chita down. I love you for showing women that our light can be inextinguishable, our energy unstoppable.”

Other guests at the event included Sara Bareilles, who performed a special concert in honor of Chita, Jane Lynch, Cherry Jones, Tony Shalhoub, Richard Kind, Michael Kors and his husband Lance LePere, Betsy Wolfe, Kenny Leon and more.

Kerry Washington is joined by co-star Steven Pasquale and director Kenny Leon for a special screening and Q&A for her film American Son on Tuesday (October 29) in New York City.

The 42-year-old actress starred in the play American Son on Broadway and she reunited with the cast to turn the project into a Netflix Television Event.

Here’s the film’s synopsis: Time passes and tension mounts in a Florida police station as an estranged interracial couple awaits news of their missing teenage son.

“It was so important for me to allow people the privilege of stepping into the lives of this family and being on this roller coaster ride with them,” Kerry recently told ET. “Because I think it gives us all an opportunity to reflect on who we are as a society right now, reflect on who we are in our marriages, in our homes with our kids and just take stock of where we’re at and how we’re doing.”

“It’s such a special project in that way, so to be able to be a producer and actor in the project just allows me to be extra proud,” she added.

The 42-year-old actress looked pretty in a black and white dress as she attended the screening with director Kenny Leon.

Kerry Washington hits the red carpet at the premiere of American Son during the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday (September 12) at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto, Canada.

The 42-year-old actress was joined at the event by co-stars Jeremy Jordan and Eugene Lee, as well as director Kenny Leon and writer Christopher Demos-Brown.

American Son is an adaptation of the Broadway play of the same name and the entire cast is appearing in the film, which will debut on Netflix on November 1. The movie tells the story of Kendra Ellis-Connor (Washington), the mother of a missing teenage boy, as she struggles to put the pieces together in a South Florida police station.
