Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald attend the Cinema Society screening of their new film, Footloose, on Wednesday (October 12) at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in NYC.

The day before, the two co-stars performed on Dancing with the Stars to help promote the movie.

“I just want to THANK my @DancingABC for letting me come home for the night & share my love & passion for @FootlooseMovie w/ @Kenny_Wormald,” Julianne, 23, tweeted, adding, “To my bro @OfficialDHough for likin my butt tonight during our dance! There’s Nobody I love dancing with more than you!”

Julianne Hough is red hot at the premiere of her new movie, Footloose, at the Regency Village Theatre on Monday (October 3) in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old actress, who wore Tibi, was joined by her co-star, Kenny Wormald, who suited up in Dolce&Gabbana!

“Pulling up to the @FootlooseMovie red carpet in 2 seconds… So excited!! :)” Julianne wrote on her Twitter account as she arrived at the theater.

FYI: Julianne finished her look with Ruthie Davis shoes, a Deepa Gurnani clutch, and a Brooke Gregson Diamond Moonstone Ring from Broken English.

The 27-year-old stars as Ren MacCormack, a student who moves to the small southern town of Bomont, where he challenges the city’s ban on loud music and dancing, while also falling for the daughter of a strict preacher.

“Definitely there’s pressure,” Kenny previously told JustJared.com about filming a remake of the 1984 hit movie.

“[But] when we were making it, we were so tapped into Footloose and [had this] tunnel vision for our film, so I didn’t feel that pressure while we were working, which is great because you don’t want that to affect your performance,” he added.

Kenny Wormald is grabbing his dance shoes for another performance, but the venue this time is slightly larger – it’s the big screen!

The 26-year-old dancer, whose background includes tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, will be starring as Ren MacCormack in the new Footloose remake hitting theaters this fall.

Synopsis: “Ren MacCormack (Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont’s local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister’s troubled daughter Ariel (Hough) in the process.”

The Craig Brewer-directed flick hits theaters Oct. 14.

“People are going to see my performance rather than the glitz,” she told USA Today of the role that requires her to play a 17-year-old. “This is hometown-girl hot. I’m definitely wearing some tight jeans in this movie.”

“Dancing is what I’ve been doing since I was a kid, but I also took acting classes,” Kenny says. “I’ve always watched films. I definitely always want to be the guy.”

Footloose dances into theaters on Friday, Oct. 14.

On landing the role of Ren McCormack: “I looked at it like a mountain I had to conquer. Like the mountain in Paramount Pictures’ logo. I recognized opportunities like this don’t happen every day. I wanted the director, producers, and studio to know they picked the right guy, so I worked my ass off.”

On working with co-star Julianne Hough: “[She] was a great partner to have in this film. She’s a sweetheart and is a very hard worker. We were both honored to carry such an iconic remake on our shoulders.”

On who he considers the greatest dancer or actor: “Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly were always a big inspiration growing up. My favorite actor is Daniel Day-Lewis. All three of these guys are very different bu you lose yourself in their performance. That’s what it’s all about.”
