'House of Cards' Producers Are Considering Killing Off Kevin Spacey's Character

House of Cards are exploring different ways to get production of the show back on track following allegations against star Kevin Spacey.

According to Variety, producers are listening to fans suggestions to kill off Kevin‘s character, the villainous Frank Underwood.

This would have the show’s sixth and final season concentrate on his wife Claire, who is played by Robin Wright.

Producers are eager to find a way to move forward with the show as it employs nearly 300 cast and crew members. They are currently reviewing Kevin‘s contract to see if they can legally move forward without him.

There are also reportedly several spinoffs of the show in the works.

Kevin Spacey Dropped by Agent & Publicist Amid Allegations

Kevin Spacey has been dropped by both his talent agents at CAA and his publicist Staci Wolfe at Polaris amid allegations that he has sexually harassed and assaulted several men, some underage, over the years, according to Deadline.

The two-time Oscar-winning actor is in the midst of a very public scandal right now after actor Anthony Rapp came forward with an allegation of sexual assault when he was only 14.

In his response to the accusation, Spacey said he didn’t remember the incident and then came out as a gay man.

More people have come forward with allegations of sexual assault and harassment since then, including eight people who have worked on House of Cards.

Production on the hit Netflix series has been suspended indefinitely while the accusations are investigated.

Eight 'House of Cards' Employees Accuse Kevin Spacey of 'Predatory' Behavior, Sexual Assault

Eight people who have worked on the set of House of Cards are coming forward with accusations of sexual harassment against the show’s star Kevin Spacey.

CNN has spoken to the employees, who either currently work on the show or worked on it in the past, on the condition of anonymity.

One of the employees alleges that he was sexually assaulted by Spacey while he was driving with the actor to set. When they were just minutes away from their arrival, and while the car was still moving, Spacey allegedly put his hands down the production assistant’s pants.

“I was in a state of shock,” he said. “He was a man in a very powerful position on the show and I was someone very low on the totem pole and on the food chain there.”

The production assistant says he was cornered by Spacey in the actor’s trailer once they arrived on set. The assistant told him, “I don’t think I’m ok with this, I don’t think I’m comfortable with this,” and then Spacey fled the trailer and left set for the day.

“I have no doubt that this type of predatory behavior was routine for him and that my experience was one of many and that Kevin had few if any qualms about exploiting his status and position,” the assistant added. “It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors.”

Kevin Spacey Is 'Seeking Treatment' Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Kevin Spacey is now seeking evaluation and treatment.

A representative for the 58-year-old actor confirmed the news on Wednesday night (November 1).

Kevin Spacey is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment. No other information is available at this time,” his rep told Variety.

Kevin‘s decision to seek treatment follows Anthony Rapp‘s explosive allegation that Kevin made a pass at him when Anthony was just 14 years old. Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos and filmmaker Tony Montana have since come forth with allegations of their own.

Kevin was faced with furious backlash upon issuing his response to Anthony‘s allegations, and was criticized for seemingly coming out as a gay man as a way to deflect from the allegation at hand.

'This Is Us' Removes Kevin Spacey Reference from Upcoming Episode

This Is Us has decided to take out a Kevin Spacey reference from tonight’s episode.

On Tuesday’s episode (October 31), the 58-year-old House of Cards actor was set to be mentioned in a flashback scene where Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) roommate lands a role in a new Spacey film and invites Kevin to the director’s party. That line will not be aired in tonight’s episode.

Spacey is being accused of sexually harassing a then-fourteen year old Anthony Rapp, before releasing public apology where he came out as gay at the same time, which caused outrage on social media.

“In light of recent events, the producers have decided to remove the brief reference to Kevin Spacey,” the show’s production studio 20th Century Fox Television said in a statement on Tuesday.

This Is Us airs on Tuesday nights on NBC.
