The happy couple wed at the Kabbalah Centre in Tel Aviv, Israel on Sunday, August 1.

“We looked at this wedding as a sacred union of our souls,” James told Life & Style. “For us, there was tremendous freedom in not having to worry about the food getting cold or the DJ playing ‘YMCA’ again!”

“I first noticed Kimberly in Jaffa,” James added. “I was telling my friend and teacher Shalom [who was at the wedding] that after everything I’d been through, I finally felt ready for a relationship — someone I could grow old with, change with…a soul mate. I was in midsentence when, from behind us, a female voice interrupted. At first I was annoyed — who had the nerve to butt in on such an important revelation? Then I turned around and saw her.”

Former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek tied the knot with his pregnant girlfriend Kimberly Brook on Sunday (August 1).

“Best day of my life so far,” the 33-year-old actor tweeted. “The woman I love did me the honor of became [sic] my wife today… I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life.”

According to People, James and Kimberly married in a small and spiritual ceremony held in Tel Aviv, Israel – the country where they first met! James wore Armani while his bride wore a vintage gown by Shareen.

James and Kim are expecting their first baby together this fall. He recently reached a divorce settlement from wife of six years Heather McComb.

James Van Der Beek and his girlfriend, business consultant Kimberly Brook, are expecting a child this fall!

The 33-year-old actor confirmed the happy event on his Twitter. “Yes, it’s true – the woman I love and I are expecting our first child,” he wrote. “Experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed.”

James, who currently stars on Mercy, met Kimberly last summer after calling it quits with ex-wife Heather Ann McComb in April of 2009.
