Bhutan's King Jigme & Queen Jetsun Welcome Their Third Child, A Baby Girl

King Jigme and Queen Jetsun have just welcomed their third baby into the world!

The Bhutan royal couple revealed that they were expecting over the summer, after attending Princess Iman‘s wedding earlier this summer in Jordan, and it was just revealed that their Queen Jetsun gave birth to a baby girl this past week.

Bhutan's King Jigme & Queen Jetsun Announce Second Royal Baby's Name

King Jigme Khesar and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan have just announced the official name of their second child.

The royal couple revealed the first photos of their second born son just last month, which coincided with the Queen’s birthday.

Now, the royal family have revealed the baby boy’s name and it’s Jigme Ugyen Wangchuck.

He’ll be referred to as Gyalsey Ugyen Wangchuck. As is tradition, his name was not revealed until after a special Buddhist naming ceremony.

The young Prince is second in the line of succession behind his elder brother, The Gyalsey, Jigme Namgyel, known as the Dragon Prince, 4.

Bhutan's King Jigme & Queen Jetsun Share First Images Of Second Born Child

King Jigme Khesar and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan have shared the first images of their new royal baby.

The royal couple revealed the first photos of their second child with the world on Instagram, in honor of Her Majesty’s birthday, which is coming up on Thursday.

“It is our privilege to share a wonderful collection of photographs of the Royal Family,” the Queen’s official Instagram shared alongside the images.

They added that “His Royal Highness’ name will be announced in the coming days. With deepest gratitude and love on this special occasion, we offer our prayers for the lasting happiness and health of our Beloved Queen, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen.”

The King and Queen‘s second child was born in March. Their first child, Jigme Namgyel, the Dragon Prince, is 4.
