Eva Amurri's Night Nurse Dropped Her Son & Cracked His Skull

Eva Amurri Martino is opening up about the terrifying experience she went through when her night nurse dropped her three-month-old son Major James and caused his skull to crack.

The 31-year-old actress and daughter of Susan Sarandon explained what happened in a post on her blog Happily Eva After.

“A couple of days after Thanksgiving, our Night Nurse fell asleep while holding Major and dropped him, and he cracked his head on the hardwood floor,” Eva wrote. “Kyle [Martino] and I were sleeping at the time and were awoken by the sound of his head hitting the floor, and then hysterical piercing screams.”

“He suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain, and was transported by ambulance to Yale Medical Center where I spent two harrowing days with him to receive emergency care and further testing. To say these were the most traumatic and anxious two days of my life is an understatement,” she continued.

Eva Amurri and her husband Kyle Martino are expecting their second child together, she revealed on her blog!

“It is with so much joy, crazy excitement, and immense gratitude that Kyle, Marlowe and I would like to announce we are expecting a new addition to our family this Fall! We feel so lucky to be celebrating this special gift. Kyle and I can’t wait to watch what a funny and loving Big Sister Marlowe will be, and we are cherishing our last months with her as the sole center of our Universe. **We are almost positive that scientifically it is possible for the Universe to shift and have two very cute and demanding centers (at least that’s what we’ve been told” don’t lie to us, Scientists!),” the 31-year-old actress and daughter of Susan Sarandon said.

“Aaaaand, because we have no patience and don’t expect you to either, we would also like to tell you that we are expecting A BABY BOY!!!,” Eva added.

Eva and Kyle have one child, a girl name Marlowe, who will be 2 in August. Congrats to the happy couple!

Eva Amurri Martino Has Suffered a Miscarriage

Eva Amurri Martino has announced the devastating news that she has suffered a miscarriage.

The 30-year-old actress and daughter of Susan Surandon announced the news on her blog on Saturday (August 15).

“It’s with a lot of heartache that I tell you Kyle, Marlowe, and I have some sad family news to share,” Eva wrote. “I am sharing in the hopes that we can be a light for people going through similar circumstances, and to remind myself and others that there is no shame in voicing our heartbreaks and allowing others to comfort us.”

“A couple of days ago, the baby I was carrying passed away. I was nine weeks pregnant,” she continued.

Eva shared that she took “big sis” photos with her daughter Marlowe while on vacation in Hawaii and shared the news with family and friends.

“At my next visit for a routine ultrasound, however, the baby’s heart was no longer beating. Just like that, it was all over. I remained in the office and went through the procedure to remove the baby from my uterus,” Eva added.

“To anybody enduring similar heartache, I will tell you what I’m feeling and processing as a result of this loss: A lot of confusion, some anger, deep sadness, and also an immense amount of gratitude. I have realized in the past forty-eight hours how incredibly grateful I am for the magic that I have in my life,” Eva wrote. “…Of course what I don’t have, and what I never will have, is this one little angel who has slipped away from me. And while it will take time for me to make peace with that fact, it gives me a lot of solace knowing that I told” that I have shared its existence with you, that it mattered, and that we loved it. And that will have to do.”
