Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul, and L.A. Reid attend the Fox All-Star Party held at Gladstones on Friday (August 5) in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Earlier that day, the trio attended The X-Factor panel during the Fox portion of the TCA tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

It was just announced that the grand prize for the winner of The X-Factor has been beefed up! In addition to the $5 million recording contract, the winner will appear in a Pepsi commercial that will air during the Super Bowl next year!

Nicole performed her song “Right There” on Lopez Tonight last week. Watch her performance below!

Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul arrive to judge X Factor auditions held on Thursday (June 9) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The 32-year-old entertainer was named a judge earlier in the week. Nicole was originally slated to co-host the show with Steve Jones, but instead, she’ll replace Cheryl Cole on the judging panel.

Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell, and Paula Abdul attend the 2011 Fox Upfront on Monday (May 16) at Central Park’s Wollman Rink in New York City.

The X Factor trio were joined at the event by fellow judge L.A. Reid and the show’s co-hosts Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones.

“It’s warm and fuzzy right now – with a little bit of vinegar poured on top. It’s fun, we’re having a blast,” Paula told Extra about working on the singing competition, which earlier this month held auditions in Los Angeles.

Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell arrive at the Galen Center for the first day of X Factor auditions on Sunday (May 8) in Los Angeles.

The former American Idol judges were joined by their new co-panelists Cheryl Cole and L.A. Reid.

Paula was confirmed as a judge earlier in the day!

“I think what you get with this new group is that were all meeting each other for the first time,” Paula told THR about her fellow judges. “Getting into that chemistry of what’s gonna happen, you have to throw it all away … anything goes.”

Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the judging panel for The X Factor, according to Deadline.

Simon, who worked with Paula on American Idol for eight seasons, said “I’ve always wanted Paula… I missed her the second she left the show… I’ve never found anyone better than her. I think there’s a good chance it will be her. We’ve agreed that we would meet as many people as possible, and now we’re reaching the deadline we’ve got to make the decision soon. But I think she’s got a really good shot.”

Cheryl worked with Simon on the British version of The X Factor.

“Shes a great judge. She’s smart. It’s just a hunch. If people take to her like the British public did, I think she’s going to do really well in America. And Fox was desperate to hire her,” Simon said.

No deals for Paula or Cheryl have yet been finalized.

Marisa Miller is in talks to host the U.S. version of Simon Cowell‘s X Factor!

The 32-year-old model has had multiple meetings with the producers about possibly hosting the show, sources tell JustJared.com.

“She is a big contender in the running,” adds our source about Marisa, who’s currently the face of Harley Davidson, the NFL, and Captain Morgan.

The singing competition, which premieres later this fall, has already locked in music mogul L.A. Reid, who’ll be joining Simon at the judges table.

L.A. Reid has officially stepped down as Island Def Jam chairman.

His letter sent to his staff started off with a quote from Colin Powell: “Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate and doubt, to offer a solution everybody can understand.”
