Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan walk the red carpet together at the premiere of their new movie musical The Last Five Years on Wednesday (February 11) at the Arclight in Hollywood.

The co-stars were joined by their director Richard LaGravenese, Scandal actress Bellamy Young, How to Get Away With Murder‘s Jack Falahee, Glee‘s Harry Shum Jr., Orange Is the New Black‘s Samira Wiley with girlfriend Lauren Morelli, and Jeremy‘s Smash co-star Krysta Rodriguez.

Anna and Jeremy are getting some rave reviews for their performances in the movie, which is in select theaters and on VOD this Friday!

“Kendrick and Jordan work miracles, giving glorious voice to their roles in performances that brim over with humor, heart and ravishing romance,” Rolling Stone‘s review said. We agree!

If you like musicals as much as we do, then you probably are anxiously waiting for The Last Five Years starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan to hit theaters!

Lucky for us, two of the movie’s songs have been released ahead of the upcoming February 10 release and you can listen to them here.

With just two months left until its release, we finally have the trailer for Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan‘s upcoming movie musical The Last 5 Years!

The film has been playing the festival circuit for the last couple months after its debut in Toronto back in September.

The Last 5 Years is “a musical deconstruction of a love affair and a marriage taking place over a five year period. Jamie Wellerstein (Jordan) is a young, talented up and coming novelist who falls in love with Cathy Hiatt (Kendrick), a struggling actress. Their story is told almost entirely through songs using an intercutting time line device; all of Cathy’s songs begin at the end of their marriage and move backwards in time to the beginning of their love affair while Jamie’s songs start at the beginning of their affair and move forward to the end of their marriage.”

Check the film out in theaters and on VOD on February 13!

Jeremy Jordan pops the question to Anna Kendrick while filming the proposal scene for their movie musical The Last 5 Years in a gazebo near the boathouse in Central Park on Monday afternoon (July 8) in New York City.

The co-stars filmed their wedding scene earlier that day in Central Park. Both scenes are part of the musical number “The Next Ten Minutes,” the only moment where the characters Cathy and Jamie sing together.

“Holy shit it’s happening. I’m hearing my song on the radio. Every music biopic ever has taught me this will lead to drugs and madness #sweet,” Anna tweeted early that morning, referring to her song “Cups” from Pitch Perfect.

The 27-year-old actress and her 28-year-old co-star filmed the song “The Next Ten Minutes,” the one scene in which Cathy and Jamie’s different storytelling narratives overlap.

The 28-year-old actor stars alongside Anna Kendrick in the adaptation of the stage musical about a struggling actress and her novelist lover who each illustrate the struggle and deconstruction of their love affair.

Earlier in the week, Jeremy was spotted on the set of the film, which will reportedly shoot for just a couple more weeks.
